Which do you think is the best look?

Tough one. Most guys I like clean, but James looks good with just some slight stubble. Not full-on, but a little.

He looks good no matter what

I do like some stubble though.

Okay, so I'm a woman and I gotta chime in here. I nearly always go for facial hair (not so much face *wigs*!) so I'll say shadow or full-on.

i like him with a little facial hair, but he's adorable no matter what.

James looks great no matter what, but, I do like stubble, whether it's light, or kinda heavy.

But I could never see him with a full on beard. The stubble is good enough for me. xD

Clean shaven. I don't think facial hair looks right on him at all.

It doesn't matter to me, but it does to the network. I remember in one of the commentaries on the dvd the network wanted James to be clean shaven. Don't ask me why the network wanted James to be clean shaven; but James insisted the 5 o'clock shadow. But really doesn't matter to me, James looks great.

I'd say clean shaven or a bit of a shadow. I don't really like a lot of facial hair on any guy.

Didn't they also say James has them standing on set with a razor then they hold it away from his face so it gives people the impression that he's shaving? That might have been that commentary or it might have been on Infanity on the TV Guide channel. Either way I found that amusing.

I say I'd have to go with 5 o'clock shadow or slight stubble... I think they should put up a game on the Psych page, you know, take a cute pic of James and allow fans to experiment with all different levels of 5 o'clock shadows or stubbles now that would be a killer

I have seen James with all three and I like him clean shaven or 5 o'lock shadow. I don't dig the serious stubble because James has such an incredibly handsome face, it would be wrong to cover it up with serious stubble. On the other hand, I did see the SIxty MIllion Years Laterb episode where he did have a cross between shadow and stubble and he looked damn good. God bless

I think the "5 o'clock shadow" brings out Shawn better..but that's just my opinon.
He brings out Shawn amazingly every episode so either way a slight appearance change wouldn't make much of a difference.

As a heterosexual male who has no problem with homosexuals, I think the stubble looks best. It complements his hair.

I like him with a liiiittle stuble, but not too much. Kinda gives that gruff look.

Mostly I like clean shaven men but James looks really sexy with alittle stubble/5 o'clock shadow so that gets my vote

Hmmmmm...toughie...I will have to say, it's a tie between clean-shaven and 5 O'clock shadow.

Definitely clean shaven. He should look young so that he can act as Cybill Shepherd`s son. 5 O`clock shadow are also good on him, make him look sexy.

But no serious stubble please. It makes him look like a homeless guy (cute looking one).
