a crazy man is found dead in his room at 11:30 in an insane asylum. It was obvious it took place at 11 or later, since the staff is awake until then, while patients are up until 10:30. Everyone agrees it was someone from the outside, but nobody can get in or out without admission/permission. Now shawn and gus need to find a way a person could pass a horde of guards, climb 3 floors without rope or anything, kill someone, and get out, all undetected in 15 minutes

A major producer of Kobe beef is planning to set up a sizable ranch just outside Santa Barbara. Most people are for the idea, but almost-paranoid fears of mad cow disease has a small group of protestors riled up. Out of all people, Gus is among the protestors - it seems he has one additional rather embarrassing phobia - a fear of roaming cows. One morning, the chairman of the ranch is found dead, near the place where Gus and his fellow protestors were last seen. Unfortunately for Gus, his fingerprints are found on the leather jacket found on the chairman's body, and so he is the number one suspect. Shawn has to figure out what exactly happened (and perhaps massage some Kobe cows in the process) in order to clear his friend's name. His witness list at the moment: two pampered Kobe cows, a stone, and a big oak tree. Even the police are unknowingly relying on red herrings on this one.

Lassiter states he rather be dead than celebrate another birthday. Juliet, who still feels bad about the last time she tried to celebrate her partner's birthday, feels this time will be great since she is planning his birthday party in the Psych office. What could possibly go wrong? Everything since Lassiter is receiving death threats! What is a psychic going to do? "Well, for one thing, I going to bake an awesome upside down cake." "Please not in the Easy Bake Oven, again, Shawn! Cakes were not meant to be bake in 18 watt bulb! Just ask Rachel Ray!"

It is New Year's Eve and Gus finally had the nerve to ask Jessica (From Earth to Starbucks) to Juliet's New Year's Eve Party. Shawn believes it isn't New Year's Eve unless they watch the countdown in Times Square. "Please! Ryan Seacrest makes watching this unbearable!" "Hey, I like watching the ball drop." "Yeah, Spencer, too bad you can't see through it!" Unfortuately, the police receives a tip saying Santa Barbara is under siege with a bomb planted somewhere in the city; set to go off nine o'clock (the time the east coast is celebrating the New Year.) Can Shawn and Gus locate the bomb in time to see Dick Clark counting down the ball drop in Times Square in 3..2..1...Murder!

First, welcome to the board! Second, here is the description to your title.
It seems that Gus heard a murder plot while sedated in the emergency room (He was in an auto accident on this route to a client.) Either here or there or anywhere are the police taking Gus seriously. Shawn, being a true friend indeed, investigates Gus' claim, because he believes Gus one hundred percent. Before a widely acclaimed annual "Gone With the Wind" revival show, the main actress playing Scarlett O'Hara is missing - with no obvious clues. The police have their list of usual suspects, and one of them includes Chief Vick's long-lost cousin, a down-and-out stage actor who was disowned by Vick's family many years ago. The Chief believes her cousin's innocence, but since working on this case would be a flagrant conflict of interest, she assigns the case to Shawn and Gus, who must first find the actress, and then find out whether the Chief's cousin was involved in any way. And oh, they have to take part in the revival in order to find all this out - Shawn is cast as Rhett Butler, while Gus' role... er... is TBA.

there are many reported cases of murders. not only in SB, but all over southern california. a few were even in the bay area, and one in oregon! with a total of 23 victims, everyone suspects a serial killer. But there are a few problems with the theory: (1) there was a bit of non-DNA evidence at about half of them, all pointing in a different direction, (2) none of the victims knew each other, (3) there were no more than 2 people which died of the same cause, and (4) somehow the case appears to connect to thousands of years ago. Now Shawn must find several killers before a possible 24th victim.

Calling Dr. Psych
While Shawn and Gus are visiting Grandma Spencer at the hospital, Shawn notices something wrong in one of the empty beds in his grandmother's room. After meeting the doctor, and seeing the nurse make the bed, he deduces that the doctor and nurse mudered whoever was in that bed. He asks his grandma about it, but she can't remember much. Her lungs had given out a few minutes before her roomate died, and when she regained consciousness, he was dead. It's all very suspicious, so Shawn decides to investigate, determined not to let the doctor and nurse get away with it. It just so happens that the cranky woman across the hall is Lassy's mom, and Shawn runs into him and Juliet visiting her. With a little detective work around the hospital, Shawn discovers the truth. Grandma Spencer's roomate found out about the doctor's affair with the nurse. He was blackmailing them, so they decided to make it look like he had a heart attack. It would be easy. The nurse could give him a shot without anyone suspecting foul play, and the doctor could easily switch around the blood samples so they would never detect the poison. The doctor took all the pills that day to make their blood sampls identical, then turned off Grandma Spencer's oxygen mask to stop her from witnessing the murder. The nurse gave him a shot of adrenaline, and it was a matter of minutes before he was dead. The only proof was the doctor's blood sample, which would be cleared up by now. Fortunately, Lassiter's mom overhears and reveals that she heard the whole thing from her room.
Sorry for the whole summation, but I liked it.

Some people never learn; Others never change
A woman with down syndrome goes to the police saying she witnessed a murder, but they dismiss her as confused. Shawn agrees to help her because he believes she is telling the truth. However, he has trouble interpreting the information she gives him, because of her learning disability. Shawn proves the police wrong and finds evidence of a murder. Can they catch the murderer, and discover who was murdered? What does the witness have to do with it all?
(I know it's not something that would really be on Psych, because it isn't funny, but it was the only thing I could think of that corresponds with the title)

There is a very special airing of an episode of Gus's favorite show as a teen, and Gus has to watch it. When a woman is murdered that Henry used to know he becomes the primary suspect. Why? Maybe because his knife is in the victims torso and his fingerprints are all over it. Can Shawn prove his Dad's innocence?
