Cassie has been a major source of controversy ever since she appeared to "guide" Shawn. The question we all want to ask her though is "are you a good witch, or a bad witch?"

There are many reasons to believe Cassie is who she claims to be:

1) She showed up after Kyle took the promicine shot. Kyle has gained no other ability (and hasn't died... so far as we know smile.gif ) and nobody else can see Cassie.

2) We know Kyle can support a promicine ability. The people from the future planned on taking Kyle, but Shawn got in the way and they took him instead. the PFTF would not have tried to take Kyle if they didn't know he could support an ability.

3) We also know that Kyle's purpose was to be a guide to Tom, basically a link between Tom and the future. That's what the PFTF told Tom when they did that whole "Contact" - like scene at the end of the first season. So, if they planned on taking him and knew he'd support an ability, it's a safe bet that they knew what ability and that this whole having an invisible friend thing would help him guide Tom... only problem was, he got his ability too late so now things have changed.

4) Cassie knows stuff, she hasn't been wrong yet and so far hasn't done anything "sinister" or gotten the classic "I'm doing something sinister" background music or closeup shot that often accompanies a dramatic sinster move on the part of a would-be villian smile.gif

5) She's an incredibly hot red-head... and I mean seriously if you can't trust an incredibly hot red-head... who can you rust biggrin.gif.

However, there are many reasons NOT to trust Cassie.

1) She's always guiding Shawn one step at a time, not telling him the whole story or the whole plot.

2) She could esaily be from the future and just using some sort of technology or ability to make it so that only Kyle can see her. Her knowledge of future events could easily come from the fact that she is from the future. Also no other character has had a walking/talking ability before.

3) This is a little too much like deja-vu with Kyle being led around by some other "entity" The last time that happened... Jordan got killed (and I believe as a Messiah you're only allowed one death and ressurection per Era)

4) She's an incredibly hot red-head... and i mean seriously... can you really trust an incredibly hot red-head... they're just trouble! biggrin.gif

I'm now officially torn about Cassie. Seriously olandir, you make great arguments, because you hit my opinions back and forth like a ping-pong ball! biggrin.gif

I'm suspicious, but as I've said in other threads, since she's much different than the marked, and very similar to when the 4400 was good and nothin but good (season 1), I'm thinkin Cassie might be...good.

PS: thanks for mentioning good-witch/bad witch. I've been trying to get the music for Wicked out of my head for 8 days. "Alone and loveless here..." Darnit!

I think cassie is a good ability to kyle. Cassie guide him to the book and jordan collier. I do think kyle is a shaman to jordan collier.

Another thought... both pro and con:

Kyle has not demonstrated that he cannot control his abillity, that is, when/where she appears to him. This seems inconsistent with most other abilities.

However, Maia's visions seem to come to her whenever, so it's possible that those with abilities related to "views" of the future don't get to control the timing of those views.
