Does anyone know where Jeffrey Donovan is from originally ?? Every now and then I can pick up on an East Coast accent (Massachusetts, etc.)
Also, does anyone know what brand of sunglasses he wears on the show ??

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but my son and I thought he played the jerk ex-boyfriend in "Hitch", but my boy got over hating Jeffrey right away( we talked about how a really good actor makes it hard to get over not liking them when they do a really good job at such a part). As Earnest says in "Saves Christmas", "Unless I'm wrong I hardly ever am!" this again shows his depth as an actor. What's interesting to me is I, again, flatter myself by thinking that I pay a lot of attention to content, and this supports my theory, because he actually uses a sublte twist on the same tone and body language in both parts.

Yes he was on Hitch. I hated that movie but I saw that scene again recently when flicking through the tube. He was really believable as a jerk. I also saw that episode of Law & Order on Sunday where he played this guy that became a religious fanatic after his wife's death and was accused of murdering his daughter's teacher. I remembered the episode because though I hate people who use religion to justify atrocious behavior his portrayal made me conflicted over the punishment he deserved. I found sympathy overrode most of the disdain I had for the character. Also, it was such a different character than the other roles he had played. He becomes that person. He is obviously a classically trained actor; very talented.

Hi Bubba here, I didn't know that he was in "Hitch", next time I see that movie I will look for him. I did see him in a Monk episode, not long ago.

Great look! I don't even like wearing glasses. They normally hurt the bridge on my nose. Also, it plays havoc on my peripheral vision making it seem I'm seeing through a tunnel. I have better than 20/20 vision so fortunately I don't need prescription. But seeing how great Mikey, Sam and Fi look in theirs, I may have to reconsider.

I need to wear glasses. Prescription glasses are a bitch so I have those magnetic clip-on sunglasses. I've thought about contacts, but putting something IN my eye freaks me out. Actually, just the other day, a co-worker popped out her contacts right in front of me and I ran away screaming. But the cast of Burn Notice sure is making the sunglass business look good.

Have you thought about Lasik. I have 5 friends and a bunch of co-workers that had it done. My best friend could not see at all without contacts or glasses; everything was a blur. She now doesn't need glasses. Saves her a small fortune on contacts and new prescriptions.

I finally bit the bullet and had lasik done for both eyes last year. The best $2,100 spent in my life.

There you have it. So, many people have done it. Just make sure you get a reputable doctor.

$2100 for BOTH eyes? I've heard that price for each!

I've actually been contemplating it but it was the money issue...until fotojenic said otherwise. Knock on wood, I haven't needed to update my presciption for the past few years.

Yup, the price has come down significantly. Still, it could vary from $2000 to $4500 (very much over priced). Very quick simple procedure actually. I had mine in Manhattan. I had to visit the office for a couple of time prior to the procedure for a lot of testing and exams. These were done by junior doctors and lab technicians. Then the lead doctor did both eyes in about 10 minutes, probably even less time.

Yes and since you don't wear contacts you won't have to wait. This guy I work with wore contacts all the time. He never wore glasses. I don't recall why but they had him get a prescription for glasses and wear the glasses for a month or so. He had very thick glasses which is why he wore the contacts.

I wear glasses but only to read, I have 20/20 normally but have had allot of trauma to my eyes and have been blind for a year due to an operation gone slightly wrong but thankfully a doc got it back for me. I used to wear sunglasses all the time, day and night. Didn't ruin my eyesight but now I can go out without sunglasses on a not so sunny day. My vision is slightly impaired that is why I don't drive and live in the city. I used to drive. But not anymore. Also, my mom had lasik surgery done, I assume this applies to anyone in any other state but not sure. If you get it done by a fellow (an apprentiseship doc before they go to their own practice) and not a major doctor it is about $500-$700 per eye. Otherwise you guys are correct, it is a hefty amount.

I think they meant Jeffrey Donovan, the actor, lives in Los Angeles.
