What year is it that Washington DC supposedly blows up (well...was going to before Johnny stopped seeing it this season)?

Hmm I actually can't remember if a year was ever mentioned in the series. But that could be because the armageddon episodes are my least fave of the series. tongue.gif

2015 was on the Armageddon boards at one point but it was later contradicted by the events in Grains of Sand. Not sure if that is still applicable now.

Before "Grains of Sand", the ep "Finding Rachel" with Christopher Wey, he said that the posters on the wall dated the spring of 2015 was only the beginning. The actual war was later. The script said that Johnny's vision talking with Wey said circa 2016. But we still have to deal with the date of December 31, 20?? from "Total Awareness" where Gibson got the dates of John's accident and this one. It may deal with activation of is powers and either his death or the cessation of his powers or something else.

Mr. Writer, please do not forget these dates when extending the mythology. The next big date is circa 2010, the Newsweek cover. Thanks! smile.gif

Hmm. The only reason I asked was I saw something on the History Channel last night about predicitons of Armageddon and how people who study these things within multiple religions all agree that it is "supposedly" going to happen in 2012. It seemed like that might have been the same year it was happening in the show, but I didn't actually remember. I thought it would have been interesting if it had been the same year.

Thanks! smile.gif

The show will have to do a time jump to 2010 if the series isn't or even is renewed. I see TV Movie to conclude the series.

Nostradamus end of the world. Hmmm!

I was thinking that would really be eerie!! A Stephen King eerie actually. To be waiting for Armageddon in the series while it is actually happening. That would be a TRUE FAN devotion to the show. Watch Dead Zone to see final ending and BOOM final ending of the world happens. Yikes!!!

Not funny, but just had to add a bit of Dark Humor to that thought!

They could do something like have Johnny finally get a vision that shows specifics of the events that freak him out so badly that both he and Stillson do things or contemplate things they wouldn't normally do. That would short cut the long road that FJ had to take by surviving Armageddon(or having to let Armageddon happen in order to get back to the past) .
