Hi Bubba here, now that it is over, what did you think about the series and the series finale?

I loved it!It wasn't supposed to end, sadly all good things come to an end(I just quoted a Nelly Furtado song
)!I love the quote where Molly says she's taking her name back. The series was amazing and the series finale was awesome,it just wasn't meant to end so soon..

Can someone actually tell me what happened? I have been waiting on this thread for someone to say whether Molly picked Lou or Sam. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it through the whole episode if she rejected Lou:(

Sadly, she did reject Lou, but I liked how they left things. I wish she would have choosen him though. He is so sweet, and they are both in the same place right now. But anyway, they ended it on a good note. He was really an upstanding guy and what he said as she left (sigh). It was beautiful!
I thought it was really neat how the last scene was 6 months later. Molly's birthday presents were awesome and I loved the gift from Joan. It was just wonderful.
Okay, so I am rambling but I loved the series.... I wish it were longer!!!

It was too hurried in places, in their rush to wrap it up I guess. Some funny moments and I hated she didn't choose Lou!
However, if they were to do another mini-series continuing this for winter or even Spring - then I would hope eventually she WOULD come to choose Lou. It would make me happier than Sam - I liked the stuff at her birthday party altho I thought Debra's hair looked extremely crappy in those scenes....sheesh!
There are SO many facets to all her friends that they could explore.....

Girl Interrupted I can't wait to watch the series finale (have it taped), but the local newspaper TV critic (who called Starter Wife a "guilty pleasure") said today the ratings are so good for the mini, he's almost certain it'll spawn a sequel or regular series.

I love it! I love the series. I just wish it didn't have to end so abruptly, taking the fun out of anticipating each new episode every Thursday.
PLEASE bring The Starter Wife back! I really would like to know what happened with Sam and Molly, Joan and Pappy, Cricket and Warren, and Kenny and Shoshanna! Molly taking back her name and launching her writing career again is terrific! But with all the spark between Sam and Molly, I would love to know whether they have a child together. And what about Lou? Did he ever find love besides Molly? He was nice, but he played around with Molly's heart too much. Just like Kenny, he had his chance and chose to fake his own death instead. He lost out on a good thing. It wouldn't have been fair if she had chosen Lou instead of Sam. Besides, Molly's heart was with Sam, not Lou anyway. The match is perfect!
What's up with Rodney and Lavender? Will he go straight? Did Lavender's grandmother get her business she wanted? And what about Ms. Caldacott? Did she ever forgive Sam? So many unanswered questions.
By the way, would somebody please shut Katie and the Hollywood Wives up! They are spoiled, naggy, stuck-up brats who need starter-wife reality checks themselves!
PLEASE BRING IT BACK!

I loved the series but thought the ending was schmalty and weak.

I ablosultely LOVED the Starter Wife. I am not the type of person to get hooked on a show, but this show did me in! I LOVED IT! And I am going to go through withdrawal next Thursday night! I don't know what I am going to do with myself!!! I really hope they do make it a series!!!

I love the Starter Wife too and wish she had choosen Lou. This has replaced the void that Sex and the City left

They tried to cram far too much into the last hour. They could have stretched this story out for years. I'm totally bummed that she didn't choose Lou. I really would have enjoyed seeing the further demise of Kenny.

They should have given it a two hour finale.
