I don't mean to appear totally stupid but - what does The Starter Wife mean? What is a Starter Wife? I'm sorry, I'm kinda lost...Someone please explain...

as far as i understood it meant a woman, who got a divorce and gets "thrown out" of her life and her friends start to ignore her....

A wife a man 'starts out with'...then after he becomes succesful he often trades her in for a younger model and....in most cases.....his successful friends cut her out of their lives.....

Many female movie stars have 'starter husbands' also.... you know, the ones they married young and had their first kid with??

And let us not forget to add:

If i was a starter wife, I think i would pray that i didn't get a prenup and half of everything!! Get lots of new thing and make him wish he took a second to rethink and live with his actions.

I was also wondering, and I think that it is the one that like in the shows helps the husband to become someone but at the same time is the one that have to star all over again. But I have a question that I will like to share. Do you think that in Hollywood they really kick out the wife as soon as is announce that there getting a divorce? If that will be the case they will not be so many re married between them. Is like in the Young and the Restless that they married each other since there is no body else in town.
