1st Posting-
Hey everyone!! Now, I can finally say I've seen Chris Young live!
I didn't get the M&G passes here, but the Club owner made sure I got one from him, so I DID get to chat with Chris for a bit and take a picture with him. I got one of those new full front shirts that are awesome and he signed the back for me "Thanks for last night, Chris Young."
Earlier in the day, I dropped off a little care package for him at the bus that I hope he enjoys on the ride to Ohio...
The show was great! He started with Beer and Gasoline- the crowd loved this song and I think it should definitely be the next release. He did all the songs on the CD, plus a few covers, and his new one "Friday Night." There were lots of tears around us during DML and Flowers, too.
I took about 35 pictures, but I'm afraid alot of them won't turn out very good, cuz there were too many signs held up throughout the show and cowboy hats blocking all of us trying to take photos. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though that at least a few will be good enough to post for all of you. Sorry, no butt shots and didn't catch him without his hat either
I met Vickie, DJ, Amber, some Street Team Members, and others I'm afraid I just can't remember everyone's name right now.
A great night was had by all, but Chris has a very long night ahead of him still! He didn't get off stage till 12:30am and has an 18 hour + drive to Ohio for tomorrow's show. He went straight to the bus while the band broke down the equipment and I'm betting they're already gone now.
Thanks guys for a great night!!!
2nd Posting-
It was just great and I think everyone understood why he couldn't stay afterwards. He was so sweet, he signed a BUNCH of autographs before the show for folks who weren't even part of the M & G. He took care of everyone in line and seemed truly sincere to them all.
Mo (club owner) couldn't understand all the hype over Chris and I kept trying to tell him, but now he knows, too!! There was alot of competion for Chris there that night cuz Bikini Beach had their Grand Opening around the corner and they were offering $1 drinks and no cover, but Chris made some new fans in Katy for sure and the club owner was happy with the "till." Pre Sales on the tickets were fantastic!!
We had a couple sitting next to us that hadn't heard Chris on the radio (idiot station programmers aren't playing him here), but drove by and saw the sign and said "isn't that that guy from Nashville Star" and came in to buy tickets. They came upon NS by accident one night on Originals night just when Chris was singing DML and they were hooked!
