Does anyone know what it was called?
I loved that episode. I thought it was funny to see someone compare to House's rudeness...

The Jerk.

the 7/13/07 show was a new low in the depiction of chronic pain, the modern use of ECT,
ECT-induced amnesia, differentiation of addiction recovery modes per substances, the ability to
function while sky-high, extolling perjury in the name of the 'god-complex,' ad infinitum, ad absurdum,
ETC.--

where did you folks @ USANET. get lost ?

HUH? You lost me. What the heck are you talking about? People need to remember that this is a TV show meant for entertainment. Looking too much into it is going to drive viewers crazy. Not every element can be analyzed and looked too closely at. It takes away from the entertaiment aspect of the show.

When Coleridge taught us to suspend our disbelief willingly in order to appreciate fiction, among othercultural modes, including sci-fi, I would contend, fictional entertainment to be appreciated did not include depictions that include demonstrably refutable facts and themes that are so bizarre and wrongheaded that analysis is unnecessary. It's like pretending Tijuana is San Diego--there's just no entertainment value or aspect to that endeavor. Other than that, I agree w/ you entirely.
