Well EF here it is!

Well i'm sorry to start another thread that we may not use but i don't know about the rest of you but i want to speculate about the new season even if it isn't till September (*sighs dramatically* even later for me!) but now it will stop us (mainly EF and me) from going insane and turning every thread into a discussion about what might happen!

Also now we have some where to post articles relating to season 7 as we find them!

Season 7! Admit it, it feels great to be able to say it!

Season 7 of Law and Order Criminal Intent!

Let me consult my psycic gut:

1) Eames makes sarcastic comments
2) New partner for logan
3) Goren sniffs and tastes stuff
4) Ross doesnt trust Goren even though he comes thru every time.

Aww well Fabi i say your gut got 3.5 out a 4!

My non physic gut says that #1 is right (it had better be!) #3 is right (YAY!) #4 is right (aww well, he's not Deakins) but #2 is only half right, A new partner for Logan but Wheeler will be back, it will be temporary! That what my gut says!

Of course your guts track recored is better then mine, Oh well.

Good idea for a thread, OF. I think it's gonna be a long, long 4 months til the new season. (And that's hoping CI starts in September)!

I've got to finish season 6 first. I think part of the reason I still haven't watched the last episode is because once I do, I know it's no new CI for months and months. Even if it is just a Logan episode that I've got left, it's still something. Re-runs are great, and I know for a fact that someone will be changing the TV in the EMT room at Mercy on Monday to the marathon so they can catch bits and pieces of various episodes in between writing up paperwork and dropping off sick/crazy people.

Then I'll start thinking about season 7.

Any predictions? Some a little less obvious then Fabi and her gut? Any think you would like to see happen?

I sure hope it starts in September! The first week of it cause i'll be a couple weeks behind and if it didn't start till late September for you guys and i couldn't' see it till like October i might just go insane! (Yes more then i am now!)

Right well my perdiction is that Nicole Wallace WILL be back, man she will have a lot to taunt about! Bobby's mom, Bobby's brother, and since it's her she will taunt about BlindSpot. 1) she will for Eames cause Nicole dose that 2) that it was Bobby's mentors daughter that did it. She will have a field day! I can here her now...

"You know, you would think with all his theory's, he would of found you, instead you had to rescue your self, I guess you can't always count on your partner can you...."

She will do something to have them turn on each other i'm sure! Well know i don't actually know but thats what i think will happen!

Oh, and let's hope that Goren can start matching his clothes again.

I agree, good idea for a thread OF...and I have a feeling Nicole will be back again too. We've gone a whole season without her.

i think with mama goren goen, bobby's gonna get back to being bobby(unless he replaces taking care of mama with taking care of brother)

i also think they're gonna give eames a life(they kinda hinted at that in silencer)

i hope wheeler comes back like the logan/wheeler dynamic


and ross had better get off bobby's back!

I think Ross will still be on Bobby's back, just maybe not as much. But i bet thats a part of the Nicole Wallace episode, Ross thinks Bobby is too close to the case, Eames will have to back him up again.

And Bgcalihmetrfaloijdnrjfdjfkshjerjk, I was surprised she wasn't around this season but she wasn't there in season 1 or 3. We hear about her in 3 but she never actually appears.

I cannot wait till season 7! and It's so relieving to know criminal intent is coming back for another season

I predict that

1. logan gets a new partner
2. logan gets possibly a girlfriend
3. eames and goren gang up on ross
4. eames makes more witty comments
5. eames and goren have a run in with nicole wallace
6. goren and eames get closer

I hope wheeler comes back. Eames only missed 4 episode so maybe wheeler will be the same. altough i read an interview that said usually she leaves or the show is cancelled after the first season, so... but another one said no cast changes, so doesnt that mean shes coming back?




I dont know, in season 1-3 they didnt really have a life and i like those seasons, so maybe they can have a life, but no show it on the show. like when eames said she had a date names terry. that means she has a life, but it doesnt show the date like with logan...

Hmmmm, I am kind of wondering where they will go with Goren, since season six was involved in his personal life. I mean, to drop it like he no longer has a personal life, would (to me) leave a hole. Would they fill this hole with Nicole Wallace? She kind of became a personal vendetta to him. Or where he just throws himself back into his work on all the cases?

Will he become the ol' Goren, only more tempered? The head tilting, smart dresser, vigilant, interrogator, not near as explosive in the first few seasons, but not near as ticky as he was this last season? What cases will they solve? What other personal situations will he resolve?

Will they develop more of Logan's background? I do like Logan, but something of his personality is lacking, like he's holding back. Will he get to keep Wheeler? Or will they be able to find an equal to Wheeler?

Will Eames keep getting larger parts and let her spread her talented wings? She's good, they need to let her shine more often, and let her show us how really great she is.

I've come up with more questions than answers for the next season. I hope the 'big boys' are putting as much thought into it as we are!

I think goren and eames had a life, but they didnt show iton the show unless it natrually came up. Like,if the show is about cop work, your not going to have the camera follow you home. i like it when they only show things related to the case. maybe logan relationship with that woman was related to her case, just because he was emotionally attatched, but before she dies, there is no case.

so all in all, i like the non personal stuff. the difference is with nicole wallace, she IS the case.

I agree with you 100%...I like the format of the first seasons. All about the case at hand with a few personal references to keep G/E believable. I liked the mystery of wondering about them and what made them tick. I understand that the show has evolved as have the characters but I liked the first four seasons better. Just my opinion.

On my way back from Toronto this afternoon i was half sleeping half just staring out the window and I was wondering, Will the whole Eames and Peter thing work? will they continue it? And if so do you think she will marry him eventually?

Her first husband was a cop and died, weather it was in the line of duty or not i don't know, but if ti was do you think she would be in a hurry to marry another cop?

interesting thought. I think that if she were to marry him, (this is me hoping) the only mention there would be of it is maybe her asking Goren to come to the wedding. as for a mention before that, wearing an engagement ring and of course Goren notices, although you would think she would tell him instead of wating for him to find out. OR she could wait purposefully to see how long it takes him. and she could make fun of him, telling him it took him a whole half an hour to notice.

great opinion...and I agree. The first four seasons were the best! And I do hope that they return to that format in Season 7.

I hope Wheeler does come back; I ended up liking her, certainly more than I like Logan, although I find Logan more human this episode. Let’s just not talk about Renewal, so much wrong with that episode it’s disgusting.

I don’t think Bobby will have to take care of Frank. I think Bobby wanted to belt Frank in Endgame when Frank was asking about Mom’s finances. I don’t think Bobby will feel too bad for Frank. He gave Frank his coat when Frank was freezing and Frank sold his coat. At some point Frank had some money and went and gambled at Atlantic City, to buy a suit to see mom in of course. I just don’t think Bobby will be overwhelmed with paternal feelings for his older brother, who just may have known who Bobby’s father could have been.

I hope they go back to the earlier season’s style of revealing personal lives. Eames had a family that we knew about and at one time went out with Terry. Bobby had a couple of girlfriends, one was the stoke broker chick (I can’t think of the episode title) and at least one other that he “ate cat hair for”, the homeopathic allergy medicine. They dragged momma in as a prominent character, even when not shown in the episodes, but she’s gone now. Let’s move on. This gives them the perfect opportunity to let the old Bobby comes back, I hope they don’t disappoint.

ita, i think if they falter again this year, we could end up with no ci at all(BOO)!

Right back on topic. At the risk of being killed, i don't think they should go back to season 1-4 style. Now don't shoot me yet, let me explain. There is a lot of people out there who enjoy there stories to have more personal stuff. I know i for one enjoy it. I think this season went overboard, and as such produced some less then great episodes, but would Endgame of been as good if we hadn't been seeing Bobby's mom all season? Would TWAH been as good if we didn't see his mom in it? Would brothers keeper be good if we had meat Frank just randomly? The answer (at least for me) is no.

While i agree things do need to change keep in mind that CI has gained quite a few viewers (like me i'm sad to admit) due to this more personal style. While i say again i do agree it was too much, I also think that suddenly going back to before wouldn't work either. They need to find a middle ground.

ita. my twin as long as bobby gets his groove back, the disheveled, distracted bobby makes me sad. i think they could dribble out the personal stuff w/o making it soapy. mostly because i don't think vdo would put up with soapy

for me, i didnt like TWAH or brothers keeper all that much. i think with TWAH, a lot of it has to do with the guest actors and ill watch BK again to see what it was about that. but i absolutely loved endgame. so maybe its not the personal stuff thats the problem, maybe its the relationship between Eames and Goren. Because they pretty much made up in endgame, and 'trusted' each other. that was not the case in TWAH or BK.

You have pretty much said how I feel. Even though I'm not a L/W fan, Wheeler did start to grow on me toward the end. I still can't get into Logan, but if they develop his character more into a cop rather than a womanizer, it would help. Just my opinion on him.

I'm hoping within the first 1-2 new eppys, they can get Bobby healthy and we're not thrown back into flashbacks of momma. I don't see Frank becoming a constant character. Bobby's smart and realizes that Frank was there at the end just to see if there was money. I don't see Bobby feeding Frank's habit by always resueing him.

IMO we will probably never see the "old" (former) Bobby back. He has changed too much. But if the writers let VDO have input, I can see where VDO can develop a new Bobby that we will still love. I still believe that a lot of the depression/stress, dumpy clothes, ticks, cheek chewing that Bobby had toward the end was VDO's character acting for the part at the time. Bobby can come back anew and be "hot" again.

Not being a shipper, I still don't want to see any romantic relationship between G/E. If the writers want to give each of them a love interest fine, but my preference is to keep it in the background where we don't see/meet the persons.

Nicole Wallace? I'm tired of her. Let's kill her off and be done with her!!!

It will be interesting. Everyone's speculations should keep us going through the summer to see what fall brings.

The thing I'm worried about the most with season 7 is something that WL and company have mentioned in a couple different articles, about now that Goren doesn't have mommy to deal with, it might open the doors for him to start a family of his own....something along those lines. Now, I don't know about anyone else here, but I don't have any interest in seeing Goren out chatting up women. Maybe it's just my intense hatred for the whole Semi-Detached situation, but I just don't think I can stomach it. If WL wants to go there with the writing, it's going to turn me off big time.

i wouldn't mind goren getting a life outside the squad as long as it doesn't become the goren dating show, keep it in the background, little mentions to let us know he's living outside the squad, but don't make it the focus

I'm with you. I wouldn't be able to watch Goren with other women. It would kill the show for me.

Hmmm.. I don't think i'd mind too much as long as it was in the back ground. If it was front page stuff it would bother me, but a little mention like Eames saying "we you so tired? stay up late watching the discovery channel?" (in her sarcastic voice) then Bobby could give one of his adorable little laughs and say "actually i was on a date with (fill in name here)" And that was it for the rest of the episode, unless a little teasing ensued.

See if they did that once and a while then it wouldn't be too bad right?

Correction - it would be horrible. You might not understand, but, if I had my way, Bobby wouldn't have any love interests in the show. I dion't think I could stomach it. I became insanely angry when that women flirted with him in Maledictus. Evil women. And I'm not going to even comment about SD (the worst episode! ekk!) and Masquerade.

i never wound have guessed that. im pretty much bad with episode names, i know some like 6th season and the ones i especially like from 1 and 2. but i dont remember semi-detatched. its a possibility i havent seen it. hold on lemme see what season its from. season 4, i havent seen many of those and i looked at the description, i dont think ive seen it. now i want to see it to see what your talking about. wait a second. nevermind, i think i did see the last half of it on TV. that was discusting. that was when Goren was like "i didnt mean for you to see it"? she was such a weirdo. im so happy i figured this out...

so, i watched brothers keeper to figure out what i didnt like about it, and i think one this is that Goren was asking people things about their psycological stuff through out the episode. in an interview, he once said that the structure of the show was the viewers know more that the detectives at the beginning of the show and then they catch up later and at the end, they bring something knew to the table (like in the aria). Buuut, it BK, he just kept asking people about what their feeling and stuff. bad. he needs to tell them, and he needs to tell them so they will confess, not just for fun or whyever (i think i just made up a knew word).

so basically im hoping in the 7nth season they will fix this. although, in endgame i didnt notice it.

last thing: what do you guys think about it going for an th season. i dont think it will just because it seems like D'Onofrio doesn't want to continue, and his contract is up, right? But who knows maybe we'll get lucky, or maybe they will get someone to replace VDO. that would be sad, but i'd watch it for Eames. I'd rather they do that than cancel the show.

Ya YF, sEmi-detached was really painful to watch! And Masquerade was too... But i don't mean bring them on to the show, just hear about them in passing, once or twice a season, if that much....

First off, hi, I'm new here.

I hope that in season 7 they stop trying to make the show more like CSI and less like what made CI such an amazing show in the past. If we want to see stupid-looking camera special effects and music during the cold opening, we could just watch CSI. Bringing Mr. Balcer back is no longer an option since the original series stole him back, but Leight has been with the show for a long time and really should know better. I don't know why Dick Wolf is letting this happen to the show either...

Also, I hope that in season 7, the plots will get back to normal too. I think Endgame kind of put a close to the story-arc with Goren's personal life. I hope they don't keep making episodes like that; they should just hint at how much it all affected Goren, because obviously he will be shaken all season. We definately don't need another "Renewal".

I just want the show to go back to how it should be: Goren and Eames solving cases.
