I am a big time Elliot and Olivia shipper fan but...Elliot is having a child with his ex-wife, wife or whatever she is and he may go home. So I thought why not start a thread dedicated to Olivia and Porter. They looked so cute together on the season finaly and I couldn't help but see a spark. I think they would be such a great couple together. What do you people think?

I am all for the Porter/Olivia thing. They are awesome together. We need a really nauseating nickname for them, like with their names squished together. Any suggestions?

I don't know if we will but the thought of it is nice; at least it is nice to me. He has already been in three episodes and the writers have him living in New York so why not? I say bring on the Porter/Benson love! LOL!

Plus, Olivia really needs a man. She hasn't gotten any action since season one.

I am on board for Liv to have a relationship with someone. Porter would be a nice prospect. I think she has dated several guys over the years but hasn't dated anyone for multiple episodes. I think that could be a nice addition to her storyline, so long as they don't focus on it too much. Just a scene here and there where they are shown at the movies or something, you know what I'm saying.

im up for polivia or denson. did u see the part last night where she held her arm across the street? he was also planning on staying at her place and she said they have my address to. their baby would be cute if they had one together. i really like them together.he has a little thing going for her.

Yep, I definitely can see it happening. Perhaps now that Olivia sees Elliot's "off the market" (not that he wasn't necessarily before but with the baby it's going to be back to "family man married Elliot") she'll get herself in gear and move on and yep there's Porter! We could definitely bring him along for the Season 9 ride.

You could look at it like that, or you could look at it like everything's finally coming together. I mean, she found her brother, and she's always wanted family. She has this potential great relationship with Porter. And, most importantly, the master manipulators at NBC have finally put her in cute clothes.

I think she'll wait until her job situation is clearer. Starting a new romantic relationship when she has to think about whethere she is going to keep her job doesn't seem very bright.

I agree but he has already delt with a lot of it with her; from her brother to her confession about helping him. I think the reason Olivia is holding out is because she is playing hard to get. LOL! It's all apart of the fun ladies.

Wait a minute. I got the impression that they were already together. I didn't think it was anything too serious yet, but the way he grabbed her arm and....wait. He called her in the beginning of the episode too, remember? I mean, if he already got what he needed from her regarding Simon (back in "Florida"), why would he be calling her anyway? Hadn't she made it clear that she was pretty damn dedicated to her job back in "Infiltrated?" I would think if she wasn't interested in him she would have let him know already. Well whatever. Porter seems to be kinda interested in Liv, if you want to see it like that, and she don't seem all that interested but isn't exactly blowing him off either... so we'll see how it goes...

Okay, i TOTALLY saw sparks. Porter calling Liv in the begginning of the eppy, when they were walking across the street (in the beginning) he took her arm, and then when he was saying about the dude knowing where he lived, and Benson's like "Sorry, but he knows where i live too" There were DEFFINENTLY sparks, and i'm all for a Benson/Porter relationship. I mean, Elliot's going back to his skank bag wife, and they'll have a kid, so i think liv deserves a man!!!!!

Some (or many) of you may call me crazy, but I have been watching SVU from the beginning and I have never, ever seen/felt these "sparks" you E/O shippers bring up. Nice, platonic, fraternal affection, but that's it! I guess I have had too many male colleagues that I am very close to with no romantic inclinations so that I understand a deep, devoted connection that has nothing to do with hooking up. (Besides that, my hubby's HOT!!)

But I digress--I think that Porter would be perfect for Olivia. He understands her job, which seems to have been the problems with her other friendboys in seasons past.

You are not alone in the view. Others have never seen the sparks either.

I guess interviewers, a very high amount of fans and even the actors themselves are all delusional because they themselves have seen the sexual chemistry between Benson and Stabler. Look, hundreds of people are not blind nor are they all wishful thinkers. If it's there then it's there. Just because the chemestry is there doesn't mean that they are going to act on it. With Elliot going back to his wife, Olivia and him will never be. At least not until the very end.

I agree with you 100& there. It's obvious porter is interested in Benson but i don't think she's interested in him at all. I think these "sparks" people are talking about, they're just reading to hard into the show and seeing what they want to see......not to be rude or anything

Also did elliot ever say he was going back with kathy, because when she came to the precinct it kinda looked like he really didn't want to anymore.

If you want to comment about the episode in particular then comment in the Screwed thread. I am not trying to be mean I am just saying that it would be nice if this thread was treated like the Olivia/Elliot shipper thread. Only El/Liv shippers post there.

Okay let me go back. This is a benson/porter thread right. It makes no sense to go start another thread on benson and porter just so i can say what i have to say when i can say it on here. If benson looked as interested in porter as he is in her i would be all for the pairing, but i just don't see it like some people don't see the E/O chemistry. I get what you are saying but that's not what I intended this thread to be about. I thought by creating it, other supporters for the possible coupling would comment. I guess I should have thought more about it before I did. I was basing this thread like the shipper thread is. Only supporters of Elliot and Olivia seem to venture and comment over there and I was hoping that this thread would be the same. I guess I was wrong.

At first anyone could comment there, but then some of the shippers got mad and told the non-shippers to start their own thread which didn't turn out to good. Are we not trying to limit threads on this board

But is it fair to the supporters? Look, you have the right to comment on anything you want, wherever you want. But don't be suprised when the supporters, like me, either get upset or annoyed. Because this thread was suppose to be for, not against, Olivia and Porter. But like I said, feel free to do whatever you want.

It's just so much easier to go to a thread where you can talk about a topic w/o ppl arguing a never-ending argument. Shippers and non-shippers could go on forever arguing both points. There are some extreamists here and in the whole svu community, and it's just (like i said) eaiser to go somewhere and talk to ppl who share the same views as you, so you don't have to keep defending your opioions.

Technically this isn't the only thread for Liv/Porter...there could be two more ...the one titled "Liv needs a man" has a lot of Liv/Porter..but I don't mind this one being here too...normally I can't stand duplicate posts, its a pet-peeve of mine..but this is different...

I am not a shipper (E/O) but I agree that Liv needs someone and if it happens to be Porter I wouldn't be upset... and as long as the relationship stays in the background and off the air, I won't have a problem with it....

That is exaclty why I created this thread but it seems as though not everyone shares my view. I thought that it would be a great place for fellow Dean/Olivia shippers to talk about the couple. Okay, so i think they would make a great couple b/c finally, a guy shows some intrest in her, and she's shown it back, and for the first time, it's someone who actually understands what she has to do (her job). They're not going to like freak out, or like to what Gazner did in contact season 1, which was get all like "Let's pretend i'm the guy on the subway. What would you do?" Or like think she was a freak. In fact, they could probably even maybe talk about work together...not like Kathy and Elliot where he keeps everything to himself except the fact that they're chasing down this guy. I mean, sure, it doesn't look like Porter has to deal w/ the things that Benson has to, (he's just tracking the sex offenders down, isn't he?) But nevertheless i think he'd totally be into her. This is neither for or against but more of a neutral question.
Florida ran in show time from April 17-20 and Screwed ran in show time from May 14-18. From Olivia's expresion when she walked into Cragen's office and saw Porter, I don't think she had been in contract wth him since Inflterated. Does that seem like enough time for them to have already been in a relationship, especially given Olivia's work schedule?

I don't think that they have even been in contact, let alone in a relationship. But the possibility of one is sweet and now that he is in New York and working virtually in the same field she is in, it seems like a great idea; at least to me it does.
