The reason why WWE has been airing Snitsky promos on Raw is because there are tentative plans for him to challenge John Cena for the WWE championship at some point. One source said that it is almost as if WWE is making John Cena the new age Hulk Hogan, accepting several monster challenge's.

That might happen! Altough they have also been airing Snitsky promos on SD! And I cannot see Cena beating Khali unless it is by disqualification!

I don't think of Cena as today's Hogan. Another big man on RAW or Smackdown? unsure.gif I think it's best he stay on ECW.

I think that King said to JR last Monday that "can you believe that monster is coming to Raw?"

Another dumb feud IMO>

Wow the wwe just keeps slipping. If you have to rely on guys like Khali and Snitsky, you suck.

Ditto. ECW is also a corpse waiting to be moved to the morgue.

Its amazing to me how much the wwe product has slipped. They should kill ecw off. Everyone suspects that RVD is leaving along with dreamer and sandman.

They will. And the thing is, cancelling ECW will actually HELP RAW & SD. By cancelling ECW a large majority will still be under contract. Move Lashley & Punk to SD, Cor Von & Burke to RAW, and it will give some fuel in the tank for new storylines on those shows.

I personally think Burke has what it takes to be main event material down the road. Decent in-ring, great mic skills... he is one of the few that I consider 'future'. Same thing with CM Punk if they can hold on to him. Although he might get tempted to return to TNA down the road.

I don't think they were idiots for reviving ECW, it's just the way they went about it. Fans were starved for an ECW comeback, but the problem was with ECW now being a brand of WWE Entertainment rules had to be changed, and with Vince's ego he decided to revive ECW in his own image of what he thought it should be.

The problem was McMahon didn't think it through. Back in the glory days of EC Dub, matches that McMahon would book with the WWF were PPV-event material matches, yet ECW were booking these kind of hardcore matches AND SURPASSING the WWF with their matches, and yet they were offering them for free to the regular basic cable viewer.

McMahon knew that if he gave too much away at the new ECW, that it would lessen his own PPV cards when Hardcore/Extreme/No-DQ events were involved. So... he pulled back on the ECW bookings, and lessened them. This 'caused the whole revival to go down the toilet, because people went into the new ECW revival expecting to see what they were seeing on the once-a-year "ECW One Night Stand" PPV's, and what they got was the new HEAT program for low-card matches/wrestlers.

My guess is if CM Punk doesn't get a title push soon he will make like rvd and sabu and jump ship on WWE. TNA's a better place for CM Punk imo anyways.
