Ok, finally... I'm here to do a concert review from Zac's performance last weekend at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. I'm gonna stick to the concert review, since there's just way too much to tell regarding before and after. It was a GREAT day/night/early morning, though. biggrin.gif Hehe...

As was mentioned, Jamie Grooms opened up... and contrary to what we had all believed, Zac and Angela were NOT the headliners for the night, so they went up next. Cook and Glenn closed out the night when Zac and Angela's set was done. It worked out okay that way, though, since Angela and Zac were able to get to their merchandise booth to start selling/signing stuff... and taking pics... Meet and Greets for all the adoring fans.

Anyway, when we decided definitively that Angela and Zac would NOT be headlinging, I headed straight for my seat, so that I didn't miss any of their set. They came out and started with one of Angela's songs, "Emotionless", with Zac doing an amazing job on guitar and background vocals.

Zac followed that up with 2 songs... "Call It Anything But Love" and "Always In The Mood". Both songs are awesome!!! He rocks them both... I think I like "Always In The Mood" just a teeeeeny weeeeny bit more than "Call It Anything But Love". If you're curious about either of those songs, I have videos of them on my MySpace profile. =D Check them out. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. biggrin.gif

They continued their duo set with Angela's "You Got Me", which was fantastic, as well!! They really do sound great together! I really like Angela a lot, too... so it's not ALL about Zac. Hehehehehehe... I made a funny. I made myself laugh. Who am I trying to kid? Of course, I MEANT it when I said I like Angela, too. But the 2nd part... it's not ALL about Zac?? Hehe... that's hysterical. tongue.gif

Anyway, next up was "Memphis Women and Chicken"... which is always a huge fan favorite. It's ironic that this song is such a hit, though, since it was one of the songs that the Nashville Star judges warned him about, since it was a song nobody knew. Well... I guess it didn't matter, after all. We all LOVE it!!!

Angela sang "Total Loss" next followed by another song by Zac, which, I'm guessing is called something like "Sweet and Blonde"... ("I like my women like I like my coffee --- sweet and blonde") I then contemplated dyeing my hair blonde again. *giggle* Just kidding...

Angela's next song was called "Unfinished Business"... a song I didn't recognize. I finally got to hear Zac do my favorite of all the songs he did while on Nashville Star --- "Stranger In My House". Since I was so elated to finally be seeing/hearing him play that song, I decided to record it for future use... So, I've already watched the video of it several times, along with the videos for "Always In The Mood" and "Tupelo Honey" (which he played as his last song for the night).

"Love Me Wild" was next, and Angela sounded amazing! Of course, having Zac on background vocals didn't particularly upset me, either. Hehe... Then it was Angela's turn to do background vocals for Zac on "If It Wasn't For The Whiskey". If you're keeping track through the pictures I posted, it was during this song he took his shades off. smile.gif Hehe... yes, I know I remember the oddest details.

Zac followed that up with "Get Your Love On"... and Angela countered with "Do Right Woman/Do Right Man". Zac's next, and final, 2 songs were "Monkey Around" and "Tupelo Honey", both of which I have video memories of.

The show ended with them doing "Hard To Handle" as an encore/duet... and it was over all to quickly. *sigh*

Throughout the show, fans in the audience could be heard cheering "Zac!!!" or "Zac Hacker!!!!" (which I thought was kinda funny... They made sure to say his last name, too, just in case we weren't sure WHICH "Zac" they were cheering for!) *giggle* Anyway, Angela was feeling a little left out, I guess, cuz she said "So, uhhh... ya like Zac??" Hehehehe... Everybody cheered, of course! Then Zac said "Yeah, but how many of you like ANGELA??" I actually think the cheers were just a little louder than they were for Zac, so she replied "OK. I feel better now." Hehe... poor Angela.

All in all, though... It was an amazing show. I'm so glad I was there. smile.gif
