I need to explain that Garth Brooks was my 'first'... my first 'musical love'... he was the one I first became so FOCUSED (notice, please, focused --- not obsessed... hehehe) on back in the late 90s, when I needed an 'escape' of my own. I delved myself deep into the Garth-world... That was back when I first got online, too... so it was all new to me. Everything... People I worked with accused me of knowing more about Garth Brooks than GARTH did! Hehe...
Then, Garth retired... and I needed a void-filler. Queue Gary Allan... and he's been FANTASTIC, mind you... However, since discovering Zac and his music, I really haven't been spending much time with my first loves.
THIS is where the dream comes in...
QUOTE
It was a couple of nights ago... It started out like any other night. Midnight rolled around, and I started considering the concept of sleeping to be a more and more acceptable activity. I don't recall 'zactly what time I went to bed, much less what time I fell asleep. What I DO remember, however, is that when I awoke... I CLEARLY remembered this dream, only realizing it was indeed a dream, because I think I would remember if Garth Brooks HAD actually been in my car with me in reality.
*giggle*
Ok, so that's pretty much it... There I was, ironically in the BACK SEAT of my car with Garth... no, it's okay. Come back. This dream is rated PG. It's family friendly. Hehe...
Anyway, we were having a hmmmmm... lively discussion, we'll call it.
I was sitting there reassuring him...
"Garth listen... just because I've been following ZAC lately, doesn't mean I don't still like YOUR music!! I mean... look around you! I have both your boxed sets in my car, one in each pocket (on the back of the two front seats --- and yes, I really DO have both of Garth's boxed sets there!)... I have a "got garth?" sticker proudly displayed in my rear window. Then, there's the stuff in my house. Above my computer monitor proudly sits a "Limited Edition" Garth Brooks poster... I have a Garth Brooks Blvd. sign in my bedroom, along with a couple of autographed pictures! I mean... even online, for the longest time, it was all Garth-related stuff. My screen name for the LONGEST time was MsMidnight77 --- MsMidnight cuz of your song Mr Midnight... and the 77 cuz that was your number when you participated in spring training with the Padres!!"
I went on and on in an effort to prove to him that I still DO love him and his music. I have a new love right now, yes, but I haven't abandoned him.
Or Gary.
However, I refuse to incriminate myself by rattling off ALL the 'evidence' I supplied him with...

Apparently Zac's already getting me into trouble!!! Hehe...
Janis asked me if I was feeling guilty. I thought about it.
Nah.
