What do you guys think some of the more shippier episodes have been? And by "shippy episodes" I mean episodes with a lot of Elliot/Olivia moments. I ask the shippers here b/c admittedly, this is what we look for, is it not? But anyone can answer.

Can't remember where I read it, but I think I read a post somewhere that "Fat" and "Web" had good shippy moments. I know of the one scene in "Fat", the locker room scene, but what about "Web?" I'm drawing a complete blank as to what the episode was even about anymore.

The only episodes that are coming to my mind right now are of course, "Fault," and "Philadelphia."

What do you guys think?
SVU_Sweetheart
'Fault' and 'Philadelphia' for sure, and 'Fat' and 'Web' are good, too. And of course, 'Choreographed.'

Fault and Philadelphia definitely. In Fat, there was the locker room scene and also something about Elliot's confession to the priest in the opening scene sounded, if not appeared because Olivia wasn't in it, shippy. In Web, they worked together a few times and that was also the episode where she returned to SVU after her brief stint in Computer Crimes. Then, there's Choreographed ("I'd give you a kidney," "Not if I gave you mine first") and Burned (the front stoop scene). Umm, let me think about older episodes.

Most episodes of the first season are very very shippy indeed. Cute moments.
Like in the last episode of Season 1 when the psychologist tells Cragen that there are two detectives she would recommend being moved from active duty. There's a close-up of Elliot and Olivia giving each other a high-five. Really cute.

Umm....Contagious also had a sweet part where she had his kids come down for his birthday.

In Paranoia there's the scene in the diner "a cop should know where his partner has breakfast...praise makes me hungry, that whole end scene"

There's plenty and I love watching them all
BensonFanatic
Season 1 had a lot of good shippery eppys. My 2 favs. are "A Single Life" In the begining where El and Liv are walking down the sidewalk, and they're talking about how the nighbors couldn't tell the difference between the perp and other ppl in the building, Liv says she's always w/ him, and stuff, then she says "Yeah, i'm a regular monk" and he says "Monkette" then he just looks at her. When asked what he was look at, he brushes it off like it was nothing, but deep down, us shippers know there was something! lol

Uhm...oh, "Payback" season 1 was good shippery moments, like when they were walking into the coffee shop where the vic frequented, el put his hand on the small of liv's back as she was going up the stairs.

There was another eppy in season 1, where this guy was found in his car by two horse-mounted police officers, to find he'd been shot and his pants were down. Well, after the theme song openeing, everyone (cragen, munch, el, liv, Jefferies) are standing around, talking about it, and El offers the tid bit of information that where the guy was found was a real love-spot, he says: ".....Co-workers...." Then turns to Liv as if to say, 'remember?' tongue.gif I liked that part, b/c after he gave her that look, she was kinda rattled, and when asked a question by cragen, she kinda stumbled over her words.

Eppy where Richard White is stalking Olivia, El picks her up @ her appartment, and they're getting ready to leave, and she was saying that she wouldn't come to Queens to save hm, and he goes 'yeah you would' and she says 'well....that's only b/c you have a wife and kids' and he goes 'sure' and she says 'yeah' as if she didn't even belive her line of B.S.

As you can see, i'm a true shipper....there are MANY more eppys and moments, so i'll be back to post more later! biggrin.gif

Speaking of she-whom-must-not-be-named, i'm watching "Basic" w/ John Travolta, samual L Jackson, and none other than Connie Neilson. I HATE Dani, but Connie's....alright i guess... unsure.gif

fault in my opinion was the shippiest episode of all. I mean come on, he choose olivia over the job. can't get more shippy then that! biggrin.gif

So true! my god...i mean, the entire hostage scene was amazing in itself, but w/ Elliot picking liv over the boy, and then saying the job and liv are all he's got left anymore? Then Livvy says 'What about me?" when Elliot says taht he just couldn't get that little boy out of his mind (when gitano had him hostage) ! I was like YES! LOL

yeah, someone did mention Burned. The stoop scene was amazing. It was nice to see them (somewhat) joking around again (w/ liv asking who's ganna buy the coffee)

OHHHH! Nobdoy said 'Loss' season 5 yet!
Okay, lemmy set the scene for you:
Now, remember, Alex is the one whose got the hit on her. She's the one w/ Columbian ppl after her. When Elliot hears/sees the car drive up to them for the 'fatal' drive-by that 'killed' Alex, who did Elliot throw himself upon? OLIVIA! That's who! LOL He made sure when he dove, he had a hand on Liv, making sure he was between her and the bullet. In the midst of this all, Alex ended up getting shot. How sweet huh? LOL TOTAL shipper moment right there. Liv didnt' have the hit on her, Alex did, but who does Elliot cover? *singing* Olivia!!! LOL
(Now, granted, Liv was closer than Alex, but still! lol)

AWW!! That was a shipper moment! Even though the first time i watched it i didn't even care about that part. My focus was on Alex getting shot sad.gif

Fault will probably be my favorite of them all though.

Elliot- you and this job are about the only things I've got anymore
(How adorable!!!) wub.gif wub.gif

For me it is without a doubt Philadelphia. The eye sex was yummalicious and the physical contact was amazing. I almost thought that Elliot was going to kiss Liv in the car if it were not for Fin interupting them. I also love how Olivia, while holding her brother on the couch, looked up to Elliot almost to seek his approval or his blessing on what was going on. I only wish that more eppys like this exist.

Agreed. In "Nocturne," another S1 episode, when Elliot was at home sitting on a couch while drinking beer, obviously looking haunted and disturbed by the case, Kathy was asking him about his day and to tell her what was bothering him. He just shook his head and took a drink. Kathy asked him if he talked to Olivia about it and he looked at her and said "yeah, (pause) she's my partner."

That was a low blow for Elliot. When you are married that person is your partner for life. Kathy may have not been his working partner but she was his wife! He sure as hell should have told her before he ever told Olivia. At least that is my opinion.

In my opinion I would have to say Philly. They have never talked like that before and never made contact like that before. He came to her apartment for company and stuck up for her when she needed it most. That has to be the shippiest moment ever. I also would have to say Fault.
BensonFanatic
In Responsible, when Elliot went to interview the girl's mother (the Rice woman that slept w/ her kids' crush) The woman asked el if he wanted a drink, right? well of course he says no, he's working, then the mother asks el where his partner is. He replies that they don't always do interviews together, then right after that, she says "Are you two and item?" Okay, then there's this pause. He just looks at her, then she says "I notice you don't wear a wedding ring" He looks at her for another second, then says "You shoulda been a detective" NO WHERE in there, does he deny them being an item! I was like OMG! LOL now, he was probably responding 'you should have been a detective' to the wedding ring comment, but he didn't specify that! OHHHH LA LA!!! LOL

I agree w/ Mary, Philli was a very shippery eppy. I loved the fact that she confided in him, and trusted him enough w/ the information @ the begining about her brother. That was just so...SHIPPERY! lol

Okay, usually i agree w/ mary on many, if not all things, but i actually have to dissagree here, Mary. You said that ELliot should have talked to Kathy before talking w/ olivia about the case? I don't think so. First off, Liv was there as it was happening. It would be somewhat impracticle to wait to talk about it, go home, talk about it, then the next day, go into work, and say, 'Oh, liv, about yesterday....' She was there, and he wanted to talk about it. Secondly, I can totally understand Elliot not wanting to bring work home w/ him. I mean, you guys've heard him say to Cassidy about how work can interfere w/ your home/love life. He can't even sleep some night, and i think as Elliot even put it one eppy "One of us has got to sleep at night" I know, if i were him, i wouldn't wnat my familiy involved w/ that kind of (for lack of better words) stuff. I mean, the stuff he see's everyday is difficult for even the detectives to handle sometimes. And (again) as El put it once "What am i supposed to say? Sit down at dinner, and say 'Oh yeah, my day was kinda rough, i had to interview a vitim that had her baby ripped out of her, before being raped, how was your day?" (or whatever the dialogue was) I dunno, maybe i'm being irrational, and maybe you're supposed to share everything w/ your spouse, but i think that Elliot was doing it for Kathy, not because he didn't feel like talking. Now i do agree that Elliot shouldn't have TOTALLY shut Kathy out. He should have talked about some things w/ her, just not the super grousome (sp?) parts....Just my opioion though...

Oh I totally forgot about "Stalked." I love that whole scene when Elliot goes to her apartment. Everyone loves their little banter, and I do too, but my favorite part of that whole scene is when Olivia drinks her orange juice and then sets the glass down and then Elliot picks up the exact same glass and then he drinks it. Then Olivia takes another swig after that! I love it b/c I think it's kind of intimate. Like something you may not exactly do with your friend, or even partner for that matter, but lover? Hhhmm yeah.... cool.gif

As a cop whose job it is to interview possible witnesses and suspects to an open criminal investigation, Stabler is not really obliged to answer their questions, especially those of a personal nature. Instead, it is natural for him to deflect it either with another question, humor, or just any comment. Just because he chose not to answer her question, in my opinion at least, doesn't mean he's somewhat confirming that they are indeed an item.

Oh, before I forget, in Starved, Benson and Stabler had a scene where he was asking her if she heard from anyone from the speed dating yet. She said no, and then he made a comment about how maybe she's not their possible perp's type, and etcetera.

yeah, like i said (about your Responsible comment) he probably wasn't responding to what she said, and just chose to answer her latest comment...But hey, i can dream, can't i? lol

See, i agree w/ the Starved comment, but in a different way. (i have this eppy on i-tunes, so i've already analized the heck outta it) But when Elliot asked Liv if she'd gotten an e-mail, she said no, he comments that maybe she's not his type. Well, i kinda got the impression that she was kinda taken back by his remark. She then says, "Oh no, he was intrested. I could feel it, you know?" And she's got this look on her face as she looked up @ Stabler, either like she was in love (which i doubt, seeing as though he was a suspect) or like she was rubbing it in Elliot's face. Elliot looks at her, and shakes his head, going "Yeah" like 'Uh, okay.' I dunno, i just really liked that scene, b/c it was (in a shippers eyes) as if he didn't want him to be intrested in her (besides the fact that he hunted his dates down)
Again, from a shippers eyes (more specificlly, this one) so you guys may have a different view on it...

Or the shrug he gave, to try and get her to forget about it! He's like 'nothin..' UGH! Right then and there, he wanted to declare his love to her! You could just tell someting was up w/ that look! Then after she walked to the other side of the car, he continued to watch her!

HEY! GUYS!
Okay, remember i'd had a tough time understanding why Elliot continued to rub in Olivia's face in "Lowdown" that the guy she had dated was gay? (i belivie i posted all my comments in the eppy question thread) well, after viewing that eppy again (it was on the other night) i think i understand it now!
I think that Elliot was jelous that Liv had dated someone while him and her were partners, w/o telling him! Think about it. Anytime she'd say something about knowing anything about him, he'd shoot it down, as if he was jelous that she'd know anytihng about anyone except him! It really irked him that she had dated soemone that he didn't know about! Ah, i love it! LOL anyway, that's my theory...better than him being mean to her for no reason!

lol yeah exactely. That reminds me of season 6 (i think) the episode starved. With the speed dating and liv was undercover waiting for an email from the guy. El and liv are talking and it was something like this

Elliot: any word?
liv: not yet
Elliot: Maybe your not his type
liv: he was interested. I could feel it you know?

Then elliot said yeah and just kind of walked away.

It was something about the look on his face. It was a shippy moment for me.

Ah yes, i've made it a point to mention that on this thread too i belive...I'm so glad i came to this revalation...it was bugging me so much that Elliot kept rubbing it in Liv's face that she dated a gay dude. You'd think that working in special victims he'd be a bit more...compationate. lol But since he's jelous, it's okay! LOL J/K Well, that's my theory anyway...as i said before, i can belivie this theory WAY before i can belivie he was just being mean...

The theories definitely fit in a "shippy" way lol

I agree though, definitely love the look & shrug in "A Single Life"
saRah41
Would you guys pretty much agree that most of the shippiest episodes are from season one?
BensonFanatic
Yeah..although there are many great eppys in all the other seasons taht have major shipper moments, i'd have to say that mostly season 1 was shippy. More contact, more 'eye sex' as Mary82 puts it ( tongue.gif ) just more shippery moments. Like that one in entitled pt 1, where they're all standing around, describing the crime scene, and elliot's talking about where they found the car/body, and he's saying it's a 'lovers lane' and he's saying who all goes there, when he gets to 'co-workers' he stares holes through Liv, and it really rattles her! lol (i think i've mentioned that before, but still! it's a primo example) But, as Mary82 squashed the life outta that one, by saying it was post Cassidy/Benson so he coulda been refering to them, not E/O....

I would say season 1 was a shippy season, but the end of season 7.. wow. And we have a lot of shippy moments in season 8. so i don't know.

Yeah, no, but me and Mary82 are tight...
You're right, end of season 7 especially Fault was super shippery. And Season 8 has been very shipppery as well. @ the end of the one w/ bob saget, where they say they'd give each other kidneys, or in Burned, the stoop scene, or in Phili, the 'eye sex' ....i can't wait for more! oh god, i REALLY hope Elliot is there to comfort her when she finds out more about Simon, and when she has to deal w/ the repercussions of kicking the snot outta that guy in the Florida preview....

There's that episode where the guy gets castrated in the subway, and it turns out he was kidnapping women and putting them in a dungeon....
Then there's the shippy part where Olivia says something like "you didn't ask me either" (about whether or not she killed Gorman)...and Elliot smiles and says "I know you didn't. Youd've shot the bastard"...that was so cute.
Oh and earlier in the episode where he interrogates her in the hotel room after the guy's killed...that was some serious UST...they let off this heat that was electrifying!

That was Control...MH's father appeared in the opening of that episode....

Sorry to resurrect an old thread (I found this on Google), but I definitely believe Season 4's "Futility" belongs on this list. Olivia waits for Elliot on his porch and they have an emotional discussion about life as a sex crimes detective. Very intimate.

Fault is definitely #1.

Philadelphia, Burned, Fat, Florida (Delivia moments and a few EO).

I'm surprised no one mentioned any of the season ten episodes yet. It wasn't as shippy as seasons 1 or 8, but season 10 had some great moments. For example...

There was Swing. I loved the whole "Maybe God realized how cute you were as a carrot." or something along those lines. It just seemed flirty to me. I thought the part were Elliot's mom (forgot her name) was telling Kathleen about the car accident when Elliot was little. Olivia had tears in her eyes when she was telling the story.

Then there was Zebras. The ending scene was pure gold. When Olivia saw Elliot all tied up, she completely ignored the fact that he was shaking his head rapidly as if to say 'Get out of here! It's not safe!'. Don't even get me started on the whole "You and raw fish?" line. Elliot seemed pretty jealous when Olivia was kissing Stuckey. He had that look on his face that screams 'WTF!'. When Stuckey got knocked out and she was untying Elliot she asked him if he was okay about five times in a somewhat frantic voice.

There was also the scene from Wildlife. Many people disagree in saying that this is a shippy episode, but I disagree. I know they were undercover, but was Olivia required to throw of her shirt and be a prostitute? No. She made that decision. Although her best chances were probably to do so, it's hard to think about what will work out the best when you and your partner might just be killed any minute now. I find it hard to believe that she made that decision based on the assumption that it would work out best. That is my opinion on the undercover scene in Wildlife.

I'm sure that there are many more that us obsessive shippers can find, but that's all I remember at the moment.

Also, remember that the fact that Elliot brushed off Kathy's call and had Olivia lie for him? We took that as a sign that the marriage was not going well.

Some other shippy eps that haven't been mentioned:
Season 4 Risk- El and Liv go undercover and flirt at the bar, and then they later pose as a married couple. This is the eppy about the cocaine in the baby formula.

Season 8 Infiltrated when Live calls out El's name in the hospital while delirious.
Underbelly-the 2 seconds when she comes back and sees Elliot and Danny together-that look!
Loophole- El comes into the squad room (I think he had been in the hospital but can't remember why) and gives Liv a pep talk about going after the bad guys even if it meant playing dirty.

Season 9 Paternity-the hug!

Oh the "hug"!! I wish I could see it again this season. That was totally unexpected and just awesome. You really can't say more than just pure awesomeness lol. If that was just "co-workers" hugging, then if I saw Elliot and Fin hug like that, I would be thinking some weird things are going on haha.
