Hello everyone. I have been keeping in touch with the general forum and it is all about Angela and Chris Young. What is the news from the DSR corner of the world? Is there a CD coming out? Is there a tour with or without someone? Did I hear a rumor that the DSR family is moving to Nashville to test the waters for career advancement? I am really looking forward to the tour and excited it is coming close (Altoona, Ia.) so I can attend. The top 4 in concert will be so so awesome. I enjoy DSR's talent and just curious what kind of plans he has in the making. I hope someone can enlighten me as well as many of his other fans. Thanks!

Thanks for asking about DSR lirene. David has had a very busy week. On Monday he had conference calls in the morning and a meeting and press conference with Louisiana Govenor Blanco in the afternoon. He has been on all the TV and radio stations here and is playing some of his new music live on the radio to wonderful reactions. He has also been busy writing this week and is preparing to make a demo for a digital package with all his original stuff within the next couple of weeks that has been requested by numerous entities. Today he taped more TV appearances and then headed for north Louisiana through Sunday for appearances, meetings, and some family celebrations. Then on Monday he is off to Nashville again for a week full of meetings with producers, promoters, management companies, agents, and song writers. He is writing with the guy who wrote "Must Be Doing Something Right" and I've heard one of their songs already and it is 'killer'! He also has some photo shoots coming up the following week for the Nashville Star Tour. He has been able to enjoy some down time this week with his wife and baby and even spent some time with his junior high school church group. They will be going on their vacation week after next and are looking forward to it so much.

He is not resting on his laurels. He is working very hard and is getting a lot of interest. David knows this is a process and has been in this business long enough to know how to take advantage of opportunites while setting himself up for the long haul! I can promise you that DSR will do it right and will not become just another 'flash in the pan'. He is ready, road-tested, experienced enough, business-savvy enough, and talented enough to make this NS opportunity into a long-term career! So keep watching for news about DSR! In the meantime keep checking his website - davidstromain.com and his myspace for tour info, appearances, new music, etc. And, David, Elizabeth, and Bailey are planning a move to Nashville in the near future. They have a home to sell first so it will probably be several months but they are on their way!

I am going to try to get George to help me put some pics up of some of his appearances this week when I get a chance. I'll probably put them here in his personal forum so we can keep the general discussions for Chris and the Hackers. Again, thanks for caring and for the support. David truly values his fans and will always remain the humble, family man that the viewers came to know and (most of them anyway) love! smile.gif

Thanks for the info!! I'll keep tabs on this forum and the web sites as well. I really like David and supported him. Well, actually, I held true to Joshua since he grew up only a mile or two from where we live. So---I voted for DSR after Joshua was out of the picture. He is so fun to watch on stage. He is so entertaining and energetic. He has such a baby face---he'll never look old. From what I gather you have close connections with him and his family. If so, give him my best wishes. I'm on his side!

Thanks again for supporting David. We like Josh too and David looks forward to touring with him! I will certainly pass along your good wishes to him. I am his mother-in-law (Elizabeth's mother) so I'm a good sorce for the 'scoop'! You know how us mother-in-laws are!!!! LOL! Actually, David, Elizabeth, and I are very close and luckily I get to spend a lot of time with them. I help with my new granddaughter a lot (love that!) and, as a professional makeup artist, I get to do David's makeup for his appearances. I work on movies, commercials, music videos, political campaigns, etc. but my favorite client of all is my dear son-in-law! He really is as sweet and genuine as he appeared to be on the show! He is dear, and goofy, and energetic, and real, and we all have a great time together!

Hope we get to meet you one day on the road...... smile.gif

It's great to hear such good things are in the works for David. Thanks Ann for keeping us updated and now I know why Elizabeth always looked so perfect on TV. I am sure you did, too, but I only saw Elizabeth and Bailey, as far as I know. They are a great looking family and I know you are very proud!

I look forward to hearing, and purchasing, the new songs DSR is working on. Tell him to hurry!!!!

Hi Dwight,
Thanks for the kind words about the family and DSR! I am very proud of them! He is working very hard and has a recording session on the 23rd to record some of his new stuff he has been working on. He will also be in Nashville all next week for meetings and a photo shoot for NS on Friday. He actually has a BIG appearance that Friday night in north Louisiana and they are sending a private jet for him as he won't be finished with the shoot until around 6 p.m............. Oh, the trials of stardom! LOL!

I promise he won't miss a beat in taking advantage of the opportunites that NS offered. He has been at this long enough to know how to handle himself and what mistakes to avoid. And...he has good people on his side and helping him along the way as well as a supportive wife and family!

I will be posting some pics of the happenings since the end of the show as soon as I can figure out how to do this! Bear with me - I can do makeup but not too computer savvy ohmy.gif! LOL!

As far as Elizabeth looking good...She pretty much does her own thing. I'd like to think I taught her well years ago but she always has done her own makeup (sometimes with a little help from Mom)! In my younger days I could turn some heads but not so much now wink.gif . Guess NS agreed as I don't think I ever made it on screen even though I was only sitting a couple of seats away from Elizabeth. But that is fine with me as I LIKE working behind the scenes!

It's exciting to hear from the fans and those of you who are still looking forward to more DSR music! He (and the rest of the family) really do appreciate the support. Hope one day to met you on the road.......

Take care,
ANN

Brannie I just had to ask is mother in law going to move to Nashville to so she can still help keep the grand child??

I know that will be a big lost for you...
As the 3 of you all seem so close its a shame their moving away and all would put a separation in the deal...

Humm seems mother in law might have to move her base of business to Nashville also LOL

Just curious as I know that you love being with them and helping out..

Maybe you could be DSR's new business manager

Haha.....I could probably do a great job as DSR's business manager rolleyes.gif . However, I don't want to be that involved in his career. I think I'll just stick to enjoying the ride and occassionally powdering his nose! LOL.....

As far as moving to Nashville - I don't think I'll make Nashville my permanent home right now. I will be going regularly as I do work with some clients there and will probably do more now that I'll have a 'reason' to go more often (and a place to stay other than a hotel room). But I have too many clients here in "Hollywood South" to give them up yet. And, Elizabeth is working on a business plan with her current boss to continue doing his marketing from Nashville which will include her having to come to Baton Rouge for a week or more every month. David will come with her most of the time (when his schedule permits) and they have already staked their claim at my house for a place to stay! So, I've been told that I have to keep a home base in Baton Rouge! LOL! Now....if I find a good ole country boy in Nashville, well, my plans could change! wink.gif

Seriously, I do enjoy being with them and seeing my granddaughter on a regular basis. We all have a great time together! And they will miss all the help they get here (not to mention the good mama cooking)! But Nashville is where DSR needs to be and they (we) know it! It will be an new and exciting chapter in their lives and we all look forward to the new opportunities it will bring. And I've met some great people there since the show and look forward to cultivating those new friendships.

Thanks for asking and I'll continue to update the board as things happen!

Good luck and take care..

Sounds like you have already set a plan in motion and I hope it works out for all of you..
Especially the grand child...

I would say you could powder my nose but I don't think it would help....

God bless
