I don't think he is bipolar or mentally ill. Bobby said didn't think that either, he wasn't hearing voices or having nightmares. He just witnesses the bad things and freaked. I DO think he looks like a bit what Bobby may have looked like when he was younger...more so than he looked like Bobby's brother!

(on the bipolar issue: I'd like to see them show a bipolar character successfully functioning on meds, just as so many people do in real life who have to stay in the "mental illness closet" to avoid losing jobs, friends, etc. And they could deal sanely with the heredity issue, not just from the down side, but how once someone in the family breaks the chain of shame and silence, then others can get help too)



I think bobby might actually be thinking about who to vote for, a candidate who would be more likely to support funding for police and other public services, such as medical insurance for the mentally ill (like his mom who couldn't get experimental treatment because of the astounding expense), but right now I think he's focussing on Donny. In a way I DO feel sorry for Frank, addition is a terrible thing and so hard to try to beat...but sometimes a family member has to draw the line and stand up for themselves and do what they can to live their own lives sanely...which is what Bobby did.
