Im debating ordering an mp3 player over ebay for when I go traveling, and I really would like to have psych episodes to watch. Am I able to watch Psych on an mp3 player or is it only ipods that you can watch shows on? Oh and how do you go about getting songs and shows on an mp3 player? Thanks

On a side note, the season set-up USA uses sucks. wink.gif

Geuss this message board isn't as active as I had thought.

If I'm not mistaken mp3 is an audio only format. Any mp3 player you get should have instructions on how to connect it to your computer and download music.

If you want Psych episodes, which are only available on iTunes, on a hand held device you'll need an iPod.

If you can tell me then brand/model, I can tell you if it plays video. And if it's overpriced. tongue.gif

Here is a link to the ebay page.

Link to MP3 player

Its about 30 bucks for a 2GB player which seems good, but its also a 20$ shipping fee. Going through the desc. it seems good. In the picture of it there is a picture on the screen which would suggest that it has pictures/videos.

That's not bad. Doesn't say a brand, though, and it's out of Hong Kong. I'd assume it's a knock off. But it's got some great features. Looks like this player:
Samsung video audio player

If you don't mind something slightly used, Archos is a wonderful brand. I found a listing here:

Archos 20G video and MP3 player

But, there are 4 bids already. ohmy.gif The Archos video+music players retail at over $100.
I think you found a decent deal. I order ebay items from hong kong often.

So do you think I should order the one I linked? The Archos brand that you showed looks good, I'm just wondering about the weight of it. Also, would I be able to play videos on the player I linked to, including psych?

It's a gamble, kind of. It'll probably last, but it is from Hong Kong, which means it's probably a cheaper copy of a better brand. For all the features and the price, it's a good gamble. Yes it plays videos, but you can only play AMV format (smaller screen size, different resolutions). It says the coversion software is included with your purchase. Personally, I'd go for it.

More infor on AMV

Before I do, I want to understand how you go about buying songs and where from. Now I think I remember seeing on napster that you can buy like 15 bucks a year for unlimited downloads. Is that how it works?
Dorje
You can get music from Rhapsody, mp3.com, Napster, legalsounds.com or CD's you own. I'm not sure what the plans are for each place, though. Where ever you buy from, the music can be put on your player.
