Joshua, I am so happy that you and your mom got back together after all these years. I know she is very proud of you.
As for the rest of America......I was totally shocked they voted you off. Guess there are people out there who just don't know talent and a fantastic voice when they hear it. I'm sad you will not be the next Nashville Star, but I am happy you will be putting out an album. I will be watching for it (and many more) and will also tell all my friends to buy it. You are the greatest!!!! I hope you will write more songs from the heart and about your mom.
A Fan For Life

I was very saddened to see Joshua last night. I feel that he DOES have the talent to make it far. But as for his mom, I find her very cruel for disappearing and then reappearing and "appearing" while in his spotlight. I feel she stole most of his glory not to mention all of his childhood too. If she were proud of him she would have came around before the Nashville Star*dom.... But regardless , he is an awesome singer and songwriter. And I do truly hope that he makes it in whatever he sets out to do in life.

To Stacey - please, you do not know the entire story and his mom is very nice. She has no cruel bones in her body. Her only mistake was that she was too poor to be able to support or give Josh the life he needed after the split of her marriage. She has no cable TV and a neighbor taped (and still tapes) the 1st episode for her to watch as they thought that looked like her son. It was Josh who wanted the reunion very much and was hoping the show would do that. He did get his dreams (minus the Nashville Star title), and his song-writing and singing talent is definitely going to take him far. I am so glad that he has the best heart and Christian spirit that took him this far in his life.

That's a rather rosey view of things and pretty much a lie.
