sad.gif We are all very saddened by Joshua being voted off. I personally will miss his performances. My daughter thought you were the bomb, Joshua.

I was very upset to see Joshua go but not as upset as my daughter, she calls Joshua "her boy"......but we'll see him again....he's already made a name for himself.

I'm bummed to see you go, Josh. Everyone who made it to the "Final Four" is a winner, as far as I'm concerned. You are mulit-talented, have a wonderful, soulful heart, a loving family, a beautiful wife and kids. I've no doubt that this is the beginning, rather than the end, for you.

Please don't take to heart Anastasia's comment that you "aren't country enough." More than a few country music "experts" said the same thing about Garth Brooks. Country music comes from one's heart and soul. It has nothing to do with where one is born, or where one calls home. I will buy your album, just as I bought every one of Garth's.

A final note: It has been driving me nuts, since this season began, that your face seemed so familiar. No, I'm not a long-lost relative nor have I ever been to Iowa. I finally realized last week that you remind me of the handsome and talented actor John-Paul Lavoisier, who plays Rex Balsom on One Life To Live. I wonder if anyone else has noticed the resemblance.

sad.gif Josh, I'm terribly saddened you were voted off this week. Your performance was OUTSTANDING!!! I usually don't vote for these sort of shows, I just watch them for fun and keep my judging to myself. However, THIS Season, although I didn't have a favorite, I noticed REALLY GOOD contestants were being "put down" by the judges and voted off, while less deserving contestants were praised and remained. I began to wonder if the judges and America were deaf or if they were relying on factors other than singing and performance to keep contestants in the game. I didn't think it was right, so I started voting and I had everyone I know vote also. We decided not to pick favorites, but decide week by week who we would vote for judging by voice and performance ONLY! EVERY week, you were a winner!!! You would bring something special to the stage every week. You've proven you can write, sing and perform beautifully, you kept a strong spirit even when a couple of the judges kept raggin' on you and you ARE STAR quality!!! I have a strong feeling we'll be seeing as much, if not more, of you in the future as we will the winner of Nashville Star. May you persevere and succeed. God's will and Blessings in your life. Nina

From Day 1 I thought it was between Joshua and Angela. Why you got voted off is still a bit of a mystery but only because the competition is so close. You WILL get a record deal and you will become a Country Star! Just keep on singing and thanks for the great songs.

I am sorry you were voted off, but I'm sure you will still find a way to make your dream come true. You do have that "it" factor going for you. I'll sure buy your CD whenever you have one out.

You also seem like such a terrific person. You really laid your heart and soul on the line when you let them tape the reunion with your birth mother for the show--that took guts. I felt you handled that so well. And, your relationship with your father ... well, that's just wonderful!

Good luck with your career, and I'm going to try to find a NS concert tour stop near me to go see you and the other 3 wonderful artists in "The Final Four". You are all winners in my book!

I think Joshua did not stand a chance from day one, ONLY because from day one you knew the judges were going for the sibling thing. There were no pitch problems, but I did hear them in the past weeks from the other performers, nothing said to them, though. Josh was too good, that the judges had to actually find something (anything) bad to say to him. Josh was more consistant every week and despite that he out sang everyone else did not matter in their eyes. He was so AWESOME that it scared them!!! After all, how can a northern boy come down to their "territory" and blow their socks off?? It does show you that you don't have to live in the South to be a true country singer and artist. If the judges would have eased up and pretended he was from the South, than maybe their comments could have persuaded more votes. They let a true STAR slip by them and they will have the last laugh when he comes out with a CD. Not Country enough??? I say, PURE ....... (to coin Blake's new album title)!!!!! GOOD LUCK JOSH!!!!!

Jax44:
I have to disagree about "our" Josh being "voted off".
The program is rigged - obviously.

Point of interest is the inconsistent comments about Josh - none of the 'judges' could come up with a valid comment week after week.

Also, his hero and mine, Willie Nelson, is a "Nashville Outlaw", so Josh is automatically considered an outcast to their objective. They at least provided Josh with national air time, out of any conscience the producers may have.

Yes, I'm also looking forward to seeing and listening to Josh IN PERSON!
And I'm old enough to be his mother! Talent knows no boundaries.

"bad": You've said most of what I did, in "I Just Saw Your Performance" post.
I cannot believe that any of the "votes" from the public made any difference in the decisions made regarding who didn't "go on".
Josh made it known through his Bio that Willie Nelson is a favorite of his, and would like to do a duet with him. Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings LEFT the "Nashville Scene" early in their careers because they refused to conform to the restrictions placed on their talents. Willie and Kris are left to carry on "The Outlaws".
I'm so happy that I DID get to witness this STAR in the making!

I have to agree that Nashville Star is rigged. There has only been 2 years that Anastacia didn't rig it. That was the first & fourth years. She thinks because here husband owns a recording studio that makes her an expert. She doesn't know what she is talking about 99% of the time. Josh & David both were the best there this year. They said on the very first show that it was going to come down to a brother & sister face off. they really shouldn't be that obvious when they are fixing the outcome. As fans of country music we need to get together & get them to get Anastacia off as a judge & not let her fix it anymore. They way they are going they aren't going to have anyone watching. They need to start doing the show right like we know they can.
