Having met my birth mother when I was older than Josh, I have no idea how he held it together through these very turbulent weeks. There must have been so many contradictory emotions to deal with. I think he did amazing and I will definitely buy all of his cds. I agree that he all the tools, plus a very unique quality, and I think he'll only improve. Of course, it's disappointing not to win, but there's a bigger contest going on, and the race doesn't always go to the swift, but to those who stay true to themselves and keep their priorities straight. There's more than one way to be a star. :0

I think Josh did very well tonight. I think it is a shame that Anastasia hates him so much (that lady is crazy). Josh and I were very close in High School and it brought me to tears to watch the reunion with his mom happen. I remember at his cousins wedding he was so nervous she would show up he consider if he really wanted to go. I too can't believe how well he held it together. Only a man of God could have found enough strength to find some sort of forgiveness he would have needed to give her.

josh, i agree with canadian lady. i have not started my search for my birth parents yet, i've done a little but i get scared to go whole hog but i can't not even imagine how difficult it would be to have it played out live on national television. you were right when you stated that the biggest things are happening are outside of nashville star and what has happened as a result of you being a part of it. i admire your grace under pressure and allowing us all to be a part of your journey. hold your head high, keep you eyes on what is truly important which family and your relationships because regardless of how many records you sell (which will be alot) family is what really matters. i hope that things go well with your family and that when you get disappointed and when those you love fail you, you will look deep inside yourself and see that you are not alone and that you are loved. i could wish you success, but you have far more than that now, the rest that comes is just overflow.
