Actually, I disagree a bit here. In the beginning DSR was my favorite. But his wife is too "in your face". Always holding their baby in the air. I think she could actually hurt him more than help him. I thought last night she made him come off as a doofus, and he couldn't choose his own music. Who treats their husband like that on National TV? I wouldn't even talk to mine like that at home. JMHO. I've decided to send my votes another way because of her.

David's wife is just doing what the producers of the show tell her to do. From the very beginning the SHOW has made David's family HIS little back story. Elizabeth would never take the spotlight away from DSR! It is a show and they all have their stories that the show plays up and luckily David's is his wonderful family and new baby girl! Works for us, we love both of them. Last night right before the show they told her they were going to stick the mic in her face and wanted her comment on David's song choice for next week. She knew what he was considering but didn't even know if it was for certain or if she could say. Don't you realize that this is TV and any drama created helps ratings? Now who's the doofus? David does value her opinion BUT makes his own decisions. Give this young couple a break. He left his wife and new baby only weeks after she was born to persue this dream. If you choose to cast your votes elswhere, that's fine. Just don't come on DSR's PERSONAL forum and post negative comments about something you know nothing about! Oh, and green's not a good color for you.

David's wife is no worst than the Hacker's playing on the brother/sister combo. I really think it should be against the rules to have 2 family members competing at the same time on the show- couldn't they have competed on different seasons? They keep showing the Hacker's parents, yet i'm not going on the Hacker's board and bashing that.......Plus they keep on playing with Angela being a single mother it appears- I take it that she is single, because they never show a loving husband in the audience. I think that David's wife looks like a sweetheart and I love that they are such a young couple. I'd be packing my baby too, since he isn't really getting to see her much these days, and they change so much in those first few months. Brannie you are certainly correct about this poster- quite rude to come here and post negative comments about someone they know nothing about.

i think its ok for davids wife to pick some of his song david is the only one on the show i like when i first watched the first show he was my favorite and i hope he wins.

I don't think it was ever said that David's wife actually decided what song he was going to sing. David himself said, that he and his wife got together and decided what songs to sing on each of the different weeks. I think David's wife has every right to be in on the decisions. This is her life too. What he does, what he becomes affects how her life and their babies life will turn out . You damn well believe, I'd be there doing just what she is doing. Thank goodness most people understand this and don't hold it against them, unlike that slightly mentally challenge person that started us on this subject in the first place. Oh by the way "You go Brannie, way to stick up for your kids"

I see the families of each contestant "in your face" everyweek. The family/fans have no control over where the camera is going to be! I have no problem with them wanting to zero in on the families who've come to support their favorites.

Crazy Redbug, I think it's plain silly to not to vote for someone just because you don't like what camera people do. It isn't DSR's fault. rolleyes.gif

Ouch! That hurts! I like DSR alot---it's just that the man walking around is from "home". If the man walking around doesn't win, then I want DSR to win. See, I'm just kind of a fan and trying to show some respect. I have found DSR to be entertaining and pretty fun to watch and listen too also. I want to wish you a bright future.

I guess if he was a wild man, had a bad childhood and was an atheist he would be more your cup of tea? The world needs more men who love their wives, had great parents and love God and state it publicly.

David openly stated that they discuss his future as a team, which is what a marriage is.... an equal partnership. If you paid attention you would know that the contestants all pick their songs way in advance. It's not like DSR was deciding right then, he knew he was singing that song long before last weeks show, and yes he had already discussed his song choice with his wife.

Judge the man by his voice and his performance, not by silly things that you infer without any basis or real first hand knowledge.

Gooooo DSR

Let me see if I can give you DSR's perspective on how he handles his wife's input.

Proberbs 31:10-12
Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil All the days of her life.

What you see as "in your face", I see as a man who "safely trusts" his wife and values her input in their career decisions.

DSR will have "no lack of gain", whatever the outcome of this competition.

I didn't see ANYTHING WRONG with how Elizabeth reacted Thurs. night. I wouldn't judge the poor girl, who knows what I would have done with a camera and a microphone shoved in my face with little notice & with MILLIONS watching. Then again, what we perceive of others is guided by our own personal experience. You may want to consider not everything has to have soap opera drama behind it. Give them the benefit of the doubt and don't fall for the ratings drama story.

They are a wonderful couple, they are trying their best with what they have to do what's right for them and their family.

The views of this poster does not represent the beliefs and values of many other DSR fans, especially not my beliefs.

I've enjoyed ALL the finalists on NS. But, I'm only voting for DSR. tongue.gif
