Being a musician and singer myself, I am going to try to be very polite about this, because if I was in Joshua's place, I wouldn't want someone bashing me like everyone has done to whittney. Well, first of all, Joshua shouldn't have stayed on the show this long. He should've been gone a long time back. He needs to learn how to breath, and he needs to learn how to relax his voice so that he doesn't appear to be constipated every time he tries to hit a note that is just a little to far for him to reach. I'm sure that all the anxiety is making him sound worse than he really is, but just the same, no one else is having that problem, and in order to be a star, you have to be calm under pressure.

I can't agree more. I don't think he's the best singer but she was better than him.
Also what's with the microphone constantly changing hands?!?! I noticed it and then I couldn't pay attention to the song. I realize at the end I hadn't missed much but the microphone thing really bothers me.

Well, I'm not a musician. But I do know what I like. And I think Josh keeps getting better. You gave him some good constructive critisism. However, I like that he's not afraid to carry a note. Whitney was good also. They all are. However, Whitney dodges the high notes. Josh, I really enjoy listening to you. You should relax though. You don't need to worry. I like your romantic ballads.

I think Josh is great, He def. deserves to go on next week.

This just isn't true. I've noticed all contestants struggle with this. I give all contestants the benefit of the doubt because its LIVE and your careers depend on your performances!

I think everyone should take note that the songs Josh chooses are much more challenging than the songs chosen by other contestants. Not to put them down, but it's just the truth. Maybe the reason you dont see them straining is because they dont have to, and nor would he if he were doing the same song. I think he challenges himself every week and that should be noticed.

I think all of the contestants have struggled at some point and they've all had "off" nights. I too am a DSR fan but I'm not going to bash any of the remaining 4 as they are all great talents. I especially think any negative talk on Josh's forum should be carried over to the general discussion board. It's rude to criticize him on his own forum. JMHO

I personally love Josh's sound as well as Zac's. It is so hard to try and pick just one to vote for at this point. But I do have to add in that it is wrong to add in criticisms on his own board. First off , I was never a fan of Whitney's to begin with. I am one that believes her "looks" and wardrobe got her further than her voice. As she really , truly could not sing . At least nothing I would ever want to hear much less have to buy etc. And I truly feel she butchered "When A Man Loves A Woman" , I feel that Zac would have been more suited to pull that song off.

Josh is a great singer , and so far from what I heard a great songwriter too. He definitely deserves to still be there/here.
Josh , if you read this. You are doing an excellent job. Don't let no one tell you any different ! Whether you win it all or not , you're still a *star* in all your fans eyes and ears !!

Josh had my vote from day 1. Some of the others are really good as well, but nothing compared to Josh. Out of the other artist songs last week, Josh topped them all! he did that so well and I wish I knew the name of it because it is driving me mad...lol. I know it is Tim McGraw, but I don't have a radio. I hear it every now and then at a friends house. Grrrr. Josh you will have my vote tonight and forever long it takes to make you the nashville star. Either way, You're a winner in my eyes forever!

As far as breathing problems go, I agree that he pushed and challenged himself every week, and he has that to be very proud of. I thought that Josh Gracin was too gaspy on American Idol, well he sure isn't now! Blake was the one who always pointed out that Josh strained himself, but I don't recall Blake ever singing with the power that Josh did.
