My friend Caitlin and I were shopping, and she realized she lost her phone. She was freaking out, and the image of her putting her coffee and phone and keys on a shelf so she could look at notebooks closer popped into my head. And I told her exactly where her phone was and...yes. It was there. She's convinced I'm a genius. It was a huge ego booster.

I was going to look for "EW&WFI...." but this will do nicely...

5. You can quote the entire first season and most of the second from memory.

You know you're a Psych fan when...

...you name the mini Oscar figurine you caught at the parade Shawn... because you already have a guitar named Gus.
...you then tell everyone you got the Oscar from guest starring in the Psych movie.

...you freak out because your english teacher happens to be a fan of Psych.

-when you realize that Psych was written for you. It's true. I've wanted to be a detective, because I learned to read at age 4, and my first book was Nancy Drew. And Maggie Lawson was in a ND movie, which I loved, despite a negative response from the general public...
-when your parents are getting you an iPhone for your birthday because Shawn has one! (and so does Michael Westen but that is nearly irrelevant)
-when you are for sure getting a Psych iPhone case.
-when you, since you are wierd about planning, plan out your budget with your 100$ a month card for the next several months (I'm 16, by the way) and you put off getting an amazing dress from Forever 21 so you can get your seasons of Psych and the Psych mug and a t-shirt.

Oh, you can custom order them. I don't have an exact site, but google it for a bit, and something legit will come up.

-when, since you already have very keen powers of observation and a photographic memory (not as good as Shawn's, mind you, but still), your flashbacks and memories of certain events happen like they do in Psych. It happened to me today, and I was like, "Oh wow, maybe I DO watch too much Psych."
-when you normally have a caramel and chocolate ice cream every monday after school, because Mondays suck as a rule, but you saw the Strawberry syrup and it said "DELICIOUS FLAVOR" across the top, so you screamed and doused your entire pile of ice cream in strawberry syrup, a desicion you are currently regretting...

when you know every line by heart.
when you are so tuned into spoting pineapples that you see them everywhere... they find you.
when you have converted ever worthy friend to be a psych fan.
when you have your own version of the fist bump with one of your friends.
when you have a picture of a real live psych-mobile on your phone as your background.
when you spaz everytime you see any type of little blue car
and you say "GUS!!! SHAWNN!!! TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!!!" (true story)
when you cry every friday night when you cant watch psych because you dont have cable
and then wake up early saturday morning to find it online.
then watch it repeatedly throughout the weekend.
when you relate psych to random things people are saying

-when in your Math SAT prep class there is a problem concerning a Mr. Yun, and you change it to Mr. Yin, and refuse to explain yourself.
-you spend your long hours in AP US History (Jail, I imagine, would be quite similar to this class) writing Psych fanfiction and letters to James Roday.
-you have an "episode" when you realize James and Dulé BOTH support Obama, and text everyone and do a lot of jumping up and down and your victory dance.

Haha, I'm planning on doing Psychology in college, because I want to be a detective (which is what led me to Psych in the first place)

--when during Pole Vault practice (coolest thing ever! ), you pretend to be Shawn and your friend Sierra is Gus and you're pole vaulting to get away from a gang of car thieves and voila! Psych fanfic written in head.
--when on the way home, Sierra executed a perfect 11-point turn. I'm not even joking. It was literally an 11 point turn.
--when your AP US History test scores are typically D's and C's (I fail, yes. Its not my fault the rest of my class is brilliant) but you aced your civil war test, because of the Weekend Warriors episode, and various Psych related mnemonics. (Did I spell that right?)
--when you had a conversation about the absurdity of Denise Richards playing a nuclear physicist named Christmas Jones in a Bond movie.
--when you played the memory game Shawn plays with his dad in the flashbacks with Phillip, your math partner, (which I kicked butt at, by the way. He asked me how many formulas were written on the board behind me, and I got it right.). And you find out he was cheating and you yell "Cheater, Cheater Pumpkin Eater!" and when asked why, you say "Oh, nothing. Only I found out my table partner, Mr. Integrity, is a lying liar from Liarsburg!"

When you remembered you lived on Dole Street for five and a half years and you just start laughin'.

And yes...the street was named after Dole Pineapples. I went to college in Hawaii in the 80's (hard life..I know...but someone had to do it...why do you think I stayed in school for so long..LOL!).

You know you're a Psych fan when...
You refused to study for a biology quiz because you found a channel that shows Psych in HD (that happened to me last night)
You freak out when your mom makes a pineapple casserole
You find yourself saying "sweet baby J" at anything
You're dissapointed in yourself because you're not as "observant" as Shawn
You try to explain an episode of Psych to your friends and they have no idea what you're talking about
You try to get your friends to watch Psych and love it as much as you do

..Someone in your Spanish class is doing a presentation and they totally blank out and say "uhhh me gusta queso.." and you start laughing so hard you almost fall out of your chair and the teacher makes you apologize to him after class.
True story. Happened this morning lol.

You recall your memory of a distant city you havent been to in a while and give perfect directions to your favorite pizza shop.

Happened to me today. Girlfriend is in chicago, and I was like "Oooh, you should go to Gino's!!!" then I thought back to like 5 years ago when I was in chicago, and I swear to God, Retraced my steps in a series of psych like flashbacks, and told her how to get there.

Then she called me and told me that the ham/pineapple pizza was amazing, and I was like "You know that's right."

It was a very Psych moment.

-every time there is pineapple at school during lunch you laugh and just have to have some
-you try so hard to convert your friends into psych fans
-everything that people talk about reminds you of psych in some way
-your friends think that you're crazy because everything reminds you of psych
-your friends get so tired of hearing about the new episode of psych on monday after you constantly talk about it
-you randomly break out laughing when you remember something funny that happened in an episode

Pretty sure that happens to me all the time lol. And I kinda love it lol.

Besides having lived on Dole Street as mentioned before, you know you're a fan when you base one of your work assignments on Psych. The presentation is in April.

And if it goes well...shoot..who knows what will happen..whoohoo!

I do that all the time!!! Everytime I even mention Psych they all roll their eyes and try to get me to stop talking. i usually always finish the reference anyway

when your boyfriend is talking and says something about Tiki Barber and you start giggling to yourself because it reminds you of Bouny Hunters! and then you start thinking of Tuesday the 17th. but you don't say the reference out loud because you know how annoyed he gets when you bring up Psych (as i said above)

(which I do but i only have 5 songs cause i cant find any others)
