That happened to me last night. I was so sad when Gus said it was just slightly better than awful and then Shawn kept shouting "come on!" over and over again. But then I made a come back with the chocolate game and it made my evening!

1. Okay, I have a couple. You know you're a Psych fan when your external hard drive dies and out of the whole 100Gigs of stuff on it, the only thing you cry over is your Psych episodes. Yes, true story.

how about when you are a NEW fan of Psych -

and in order to catch up with all the episodes you have missed you not only wait the 54 minutes but you actually PLAN OUT the order in which to watch the episodes so that even during that 54 minutes you are watching Psych (granted with Chinese subtitles but meh...you do what you have to)

tax return is coming and even though you have JUST finished watching all the episodes online (see above) you are still planning on buying all the seasons on dvd so you can see them clearly on your tv, without Chinese subtitles, and watch all the extras.

or hows about when you are deciding what new cell phone to get and you find out it comes in lime green - not only is your mind made up but you automatically start wondering how you can make the theme song your ring tone and how you are going to get a picture of a pineapple for your background (true story) lol

Absolutely... and when you get those DVDs, you may find out that you too are an audio commentary whore, and quote things about the episodes that are obscure, but you know from the commentaries.

(For example... you know you're a Psych fan when you know the name of the rubber frog that made occasional appearances in the first half of season 2 has the name of Winky Cutto and was banished from the show.)

It is very noticeable in American Duos, right at the beginning Shawn has it in his hands. In another episode (possibly 65 Million Years off...) Gus throws it and it bounces off Shawn's head. Other times it may just be on a desk in the Psych office.

I used a Lassie/Lassy(still undecided, and haven't seen the mentioned episode) quote on CBS's NCIS forum, and got a great response from a few of the other posters who obviously watch Psych.

Well, I got free from my friends party on friday night using mine and USAophile's genious plan ....so she rescheduled for Monday. Well... if you think back to Ghosts, they showed him getting arrested and he was supposedly 18 at the time (according to the Pilot)... so if we can get the year from the Ghosts flashback... a little math and we're good!

The flashback in Ghosts is dated 1995; if Shawn's 18, then that'd make him born in 1977 (unless he turned 18 in 1994 and just hadn't reached his 19th birthday in '95, in which case, it'd be 1976.). James himself was born in April of 1976.

And I have to agree -- I'm not sure it necessarily tags you as a Psych fan -- it's just that some of us are old enough to snag all the references since we're not too much older than Shawn.

This board has just recently taken the place of anther board that used to be my first internet stop of the morning (besides my e-mail...you always start with the e-mail).
