I've actually learned some fantastic nutshelling when someone's not sure if they've heard of the show. I think this is what I've got right now...

"It's this show about this guy who's uses his hyper observational skills to fool the police dept into hiring him as a psychic to solve cases"

... you see a display of supersoakers in Walmart supercenter and find this desperate need to bring a friend back to the store and use a camcorder and act out the scene as if you and her were Shawn and Gus... trying to convince "Gus" that it'd be a fun to buy one as part of a "Heat Wave" episode idea...

Thank goodness that Walmart is a 24-hour store... 'cause I could head in there at midnight and ask the manager if we could film in there since there wouldn't be many people in there at that time of night... just tell the manager we're doing a project for school...

-You constantly think of new Psych episode ideas and funny dialogue-or replay entire episodes in your head-during the day and often find that you're smiling to yourself ( Happend once before at dinner -got bored-, and my sister caught me drifting and smiling to myself-because I was thinking about Psych-she thought I was completely weird. One of the more awkward moments in my life...)

-You end up constantly saying quotes from the show with your best friends ( who coincidentally, LOVE Psych too)-I usually end up saying the Gus lines, lol.

-You watch the same episode over and over and over again on the computer and keep laughing out loud at the same lines until your family thinks you may have issues...

And, sorry double post, you find yourself watching the same Shules video on Youtube ( "Shake It" by Metro Station-hmm...I wonder why I like it...) over and over again.

Hi! I've been reading the forum lately, but this is my first post. I thought I'd jump right into the discussion here. This thread is a lot of fun! Plus, I had a Psych moment the other day, but when I told my mom, I'm pretty sure she just thought I was crazy. She doesn't watch the show, so she just doesn't understand. It's good to have a place to go where people are as obsessed and crazy as me (or moreso, in some cases )

You know you're a Psych fan when you drive by the new shopping plazza that's near your house and get excited when you see a place called Smoothie King is going in because you hope that they'll have pineapple smoothies.

When reading in the news that some guy in New Mexico recently got killed by a mountain lion and it makes you think of Psych. Sad for that man, but when I read that mountain lion attacks are rare, I knew that because of the show. Difference was, this guy was bathing in the lions territory.

When your daugther asks you to quote a line from the show! "Mom! I smell a skunk! Please do the Pepe LePew bit!" And I would do the line for which she laughs!

- While watching Deadwood with your dad after watching Bounty Hunters! with commentary about five times you scream "WEARL BROWWWN!!" When W. Earl Brown comes on screen.

...You get an invitation to your cousin's wedding and freak out when he's marrying a girl with the last name of Burton.

-When you find yourself talking about all the characters, cast, executive producers, and writers (sometimes a director or two..) as if you've known them your entire life and they're your bestest friends in the whole world
-When you scream "THANK YOU KELLY!" at the TV during commentaries becuase she points out things that have bothered you as well! (how did they dry in bounty hunters!?!)
-while watching an episode with you when someone misses a line, they don't bother to rewind. They just ask you what they said.
- You start arguing with yourself and friends about correctly using words.

I've made all my stuff. And the quotes are some of my favorite parts of the show. I love it when Shawn says stuff like that to Gus! (Does anyone know any other "Gus, don't be a.." quotes?)

you go BALISTIC when you see jules is guest starred on home improvement.

when accused by your parents you say "beatrice did it"

You know you're a Psych fan when... um... you leave a big party on a cruise ship to return to your itty bitty cabin to watch Psych! (And then spend half your cruise utterly bummed because the show was dubbed in Spanish.) That's when you know you're in too deep.
