MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – “Nashville Star” competing siblings Zac and Angela Hacker will return to the Shoals for the first time since the premiere of the fifth season’s first episode six weeks ago. The Hackers will appear at locations throughout the Shoals on Sat., Feb. 17.
The brother and sister from LaGrange, Ala. will appear at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, Ala. at 5 p.m. for a ceremony with the local mayors and to perform a short acoustic set, followed by a meet-and-greet after the show. USA Network will be filming the homecoming, which is open to the public and free of charge, for the Thurs., Feb 22 episode of “Nashville Star.”
At 9 p.m. the Hackers will appear at PJ’s Club in Muscle Shoals, Ala. for the Thank You Shoals! concert. The duo will perform with a who’s-who of Muscle Shoals Musicians. There will be a $5 cover charge.
The Hackers have gained the admiration of fans across the nation with their soulful, powerhouse performances during the first five episodes of the show. Both brother and sister are professional songwriters; Angela is a staff songwriter for Rick Hall Music, and Zac writes for House of Fame Publishing. Both companies are located at Muscle Shoals' renowned Fame Studios, where the siblings have been writing and recording during recent years.
The smash-hit USA Network country music talent search offers contestants a chance to become the next "Nashville Star." The first-place winner will be awarded a new Chevy Silverado, the chance to perform on the Grand Ole Opry and a professional recording contract with Warner Bros Records. The sixth episode of "Nashville Star" will air on Thurs., Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. EST / 9 p.m. CST on USA Network. Contestants will perform cover songs for episode six.
