MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – “Nashville Star” competing siblings Zac and Angela Hacker will return to the Shoals for the first time since the premiere of the fifth season’s first episode six weeks ago. The Hackers will appear at locations throughout the Shoals on Sat., Feb. 17.

The brother and sister from LaGrange, Ala. will appear at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, Ala. at 5 p.m. for a ceremony with the local mayors and to perform a short acoustic set, followed by a meet-and-greet after the show. USA Network will be filming the homecoming, which is open to the public and free of charge, for the Thurs., Feb 22 episode of “Nashville Star.”

At 9 p.m. the Hackers will appear at PJ’s Club in Muscle Shoals, Ala. for the Thank You Shoals! concert. The duo will perform with a who’s-who of Muscle Shoals Musicians. There will be a $5 cover charge.

The Hackers have gained the admiration of fans across the nation with their soulful, powerhouse performances during the first five episodes of the show. Both brother and sister are professional songwriters; Angela is a staff songwriter for Rick Hall Music, and Zac writes for House of Fame Publishing. Both companies are located at Muscle Shoals' renowned Fame Studios, where the siblings have been writing and recording during recent years.

The smash-hit USA Network country music talent search offers contestants a chance to become the next "Nashville Star." The first-place winner will be awarded a new Chevy Silverado, the chance to perform on the Grand Ole Opry and a professional recording contract with Warner Bros Records. The sixth episode of "Nashville Star" will air on Thurs., Feb. 15 at 10 p.m. EST / 9 p.m. CST on USA Network. Contestants will perform cover songs for episode six.

I'm a huge fan of Zac... and would LOVE to actually get to see him sing LIVE, especially more than just one song (and not a full song at that) at a time. I'm in Nashville, TN so it'd only be about a 3 hour drive. Getting to see Angela sing, too, would be a nice little bonus, as I'm a fan of hers as well. But...

First --- what day/date???

Second... I need cheapo cheapo place to stay, possibly. I MAY have to drive right back, though, depending on what day it is. But what I wouldn't give to be able to make this trip?!?!

Actually the drive is more like 2 and 1/2 hours (even a little less) - so come on down! It's this Sat. the 17th at 5; you could easily drive back afterward and still be in bed at a decent hour. If you want to stay, though, try the Key West Inn on Hwy. 72; there are also tons of hotels on Hwy. 43 in Muscle Shoals/Tuscumbia. There is a Hampton Inn and a Jameson Inn and several others on Hwy. 72 in Florence, which is right on your way home. You should be able to find a room for around $50, maybe even less.

Thanks for all the info. I was worried that it would be during the week when they would be there and I'm glad its on the weekend so I can make it. I get a double dose of them this week since I'm going to the show as well. Can't wait!!!!

I forgot I have plans on Saturday, around 3-ish... won't be able to leave til maybe 5 or so... DEFINITELY would miss the show at the HOF. But... I probably could make the 9 o'clock show... I would LOVE to get a chance to meet Zac and Angela, but am willing to sacrifice that if I at least get to see them perform. Do you know how long a show they will do at PJ's?? Is that closer or further away from Nashville???

I can't help you re: the length of their set(S) at PJs but I can assure you it will be within 10 minutes of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.

It won't add any time to your trip home.

I don't recall exactly where PJ's is located, but for some reason I think it's on Avalon Ave., which is within a minute of the road back to Decatur & I-65 connection.

ok, it's settled then... tonight's performance convinced me (as if I needed to be... hehehe)

I NEED to see Zac sing... so I'm going. I got the hotel room booked... I'll be there for both shows, spend the night, then just leave early in the a.m. I LOVE the song he did tonight... and he did an AMAZING job with it!!! I'm so excited for this weekend!!
