You mean it has been decided by the people who post on this board. That makes up less
than a fraction of one percent of the viewers.
Yes, you are right. Probably about one percent (maybe less), but a one percent that cares enough to get emotionally involved, and that geniunely cares deeply about country music, and who, therefore, are by any reasonable standard a fair representation of country's hardcore fan base. Moreover, I guarantee that Gallup uses far less than one percent for their polls, so one percent is a pretty substantial number in this context. We could be wrong, given the Whitney "machine" that is apparently out there - how else do we explain her remaining and Meg going? Maybe she will stay. But don't pretend it is because she is more talented than Angela, Zac, David, or Josh. She isn't by any reasonable measure - even Anastasia, her chief cheerleader and Nashville "insider" (as they keep repeating year after year to give her erratic opinions credibility),who was ready to declare her the victor after the first show, has finally recognized that Elvis has left the building. Her song was silly and sophomoric, she can't (apparently) actually play an instrument, her vocals are indecipherable, she lacks control, and she has a very limited range. Those would seem to be the facts. I suppose there are those who geniunely disagree, but there are also those who swear that Elvis' best performance was "Clambake," that doesn't make it true.
