No Exit - season 4.

What I love best about this line is Goren's reaction to it. He's genuinely laughing. It almost seems like he hadn't heard it before that moment.

Why oh why does Vincent D'Onofrio not want to work every week? Not only is Noth not as good, but the writing in non-Goren weeks is unspeakably bad and horribly trite.

It isn't Noth's fault, he's a good actor. Bring back Barrett, because she had Goren tendencies, which was cool. And hire better writers, lol.

You know what? It seems crazy for me to imply there are two different writing staffs. Maybe D'Onofrio IS that good!!!

Vincent can't work an ep every week because of his health. It's not that he doesn't want to work...it's that it's he's not physically up to the task.

in what eppy did goren/eames, AND logan/bearek (or whoever it was) work together on a nicole wallace case? it's all over usa promoting ci, where you hear logan saying something about she's hot, or something. Thanks guys!

I could totally be wrong here...but I think USA just patched some clips together, making it seem like it was a Nicole Wallace case. As far as I know, the only time they all worked together was "In the Wee Small Hours." Like I said though, I might be wrong.

No, there's two more. "Great Barrier" from season 4 and "Grow" from season 5. And I was wrong before..."Grow" was the first episode of season 5, and the first episode that Logan was on. Barek wasn't on till the next episode though, which is what confused me. I knew all 4 of them were only in one episode together. So, that is probably the episode that the USA trailer is from!

I thought Logan said something about Nicole in an epi, something like "psychopathic killer--my kind of woman"--or did I just imagine this? Does anyone remember and can name the epi if I'm remembering correctly?

Unfortunately, that is the one Nicole Wallace episode I don't remember. I've seen it before, but it was right when I started watching the show and I didn't even know who Nicole Wallace was. But this is the episode summary from nbc.com...

GROW As returning Detective Mike Logan (former "Law & Order" star Christopher Noth) joins the Major Case team, Detective Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) finds himself confronted again with Nicole Wallace (guest star Olivia D'Abo) -- his murderous nemesis -- when he and Detective Eames (Kathryn Erbe) check out the drug-related slaying of a city health inspector. Thanks! It must be "Grow" because that was the Season 5 premiere where Logan was introduced as a member of Major Case Squad while Goren and Eames were actually working the case. I have to watch the epi again to catch Logan's complete quote about Nicole. The rickety desk Deakins gives Logan is pretty funny too!

"Grow" isn't on the USA schedule anytime this month, and the epi titles for March aren't listed yet.

BTW about Logan's rickety desk--Eames walks by and makes a snarky comment "Nice desk!" if I remember correctly.

Looks like we're out of luck for awhile...USA is running a bunch of season 4 episodes and after the season 4 finale, they go back to season 1. Bummer. Maybe on Bravo?

The desk comment is really funny, but to enjoy it fully you have to take the Captain's comment into account.

As I recall, the captain gives Logan a rickety, old desk. Logan gives the Captain a funny look and the Captain says something like, "The desk? It's old. It's behind this pillar and it wobbles *he shakes the desk*. And then Eames comes through and says her comment about the desk. Hillarious!

Okay CI veterans, I know one of you will be able to help me with this one! I have this storyline in my head, very vague, and I'm not sure if its a CI or not. I saw it a long time ago, can't even remember who the detectives were. The storyline was someone getting murdered (duh), they're investigating this guy, and go to his home to question him. Wife is acting all shifty and stuff. Then, when the detectives are leaving the house, the guy is suddenly outside- only its not the guy- its his twin (shock! ), who they didn't know existed. Now that i write it out, I'm thinking it might have been a "Without a Trace" epi...hmmm.....i have no idea. Help?

I think the twins epi is from the mothership, with ironically the same title as a LOCI epi from this season--"Brother's Keeper."

"Want" Goren's wild and crazy hair is in that one.

He was working on the festival short, "Five Minutes Mr. Wells" which he directed and played the lead character, Orson Welles. Hence the longer hair and weigt gain.

Hey, I have a question. You know that commercial they show on Bravo (well, they have a couple different versions, but the long one is the one I'm talking about) where they say something like, "Detective Goren may be strange, but he gets the job done." There's a clip in there where he yells at someone, "Hey, look at me!" I don't think I've ever seen that episode, does anyone know which one it's from?
