Full Version: Natalie & Disher?

Just wondering: Anyone interested in seeing Natalie and Disher get together? Before Sharona left, I was wondering if they were going to try that with them. It was quite evident that he was infatuated with her (catch him looking at her, etc). I don't see that with Natalie, but it doesn't mean they can't write it in.

Right now, they seem more friends and co-workers but it could be interesting. I was reading some other topics (regarding how they seem to be making Disher dumber, which I don't like seeing). If they did get them together, I would like Disher to be a bit smarter first. Less of a side kick, more his own man.

Story idea for it, pair them as a married couple investigating a murder or something at a fancy resort. That will get them alone together and set the stage. Maybe Disher would reveal some interesting reason that he is always trying a little too hard to please the Capt?

So, let's hear some for and against on the topic of a romance between Natalie and Disher.

I don't know about that, disher was obviously interested in sharona with the comments he made about her.
I personally think natalie and disher would be better off as coworkers and friends smile.gif

I've always thought that Disher and Natalie would make a rather cute couple. I know he liked Sharona, but I think it would be nice to see him and Natalie together too. But I think they're just gonna remain friends on the show, however, I have read some pretty good fan fiction.... wink.gif

I don't know if natalie seemed his type, sharona was the crazy, loose one I think that's who he was going for. that or sharona's sister lol

I think they would make a very cute couple, but I don't think it would be good for the show. Maybe if they tried it for a little while-like have Randy start having some feelings for her in one or two episodes and then she lets him down gently and they remain friends. That would be kind of cute to see-or else she comforts him when he is dumped by a girl he really likes. I love the way she comforts Monk when he's hurting. I would definately like to see more interaction between these two, but not a long term romance.

In my opinion, romances tend to kill shows. Not all shows, obviously, but many. Shows just aren't the same when you have two people, main characters at that, as a couple. I don't want to see Natalie with any of them for that reason, just as I didn't want Sharona with any of them. If they had brought Natalie on the show at first as Randy's girlfriend, then that would have been one thing. But starting something now would be too risky. Romances seem to be a writer's last resort when they can't think of anything else.
