Angela,
You have a wonderful talent. I agree with you on how you felt with the song choice the judges made for you. Everyone else got to take their song and somehow make it their own. You didn't really have that chance with your song. Not that it's not a great song, it is. I would really love to hear you sing Black Velvet. I know you'd rock that song. Good luck with the show. I'm rooting for you.

Angela Anything you do is great! Would love to hear you do foolish games by jewel since the others are doing songs by the judges. We are so proud of you! Joni Bryan

I would love to hear her rendition of "Tennessee Flat Top Box".

It is pretty obvious, maybe too much so, but how about "Piece of My Heart." I know it is kinda cliche, but I also know you could blow the roof off with it!

My suggestion for a song that Angela should sing:
"No One Else on Earth" by Wynonna
It's perfect for her! She and Wynonna share so much in common. And, their voices are very similar.

I truly love your voice, and will be very disappointed if you do not win. I have been racking my brain and finally came up with the artist that your voice reminds me of, Bonnie Tyler. There are a couple songs that she did you could really make into great country rock songs - Have You Ever Seen The Rain? and Straight From The Heart. GOOD LUCK!!!

"Don't Toss Us Away"
Originally recorded by Lone Justice, w/Maria McKee on vocals (she also wrote the song).
Covered in late 80s or early 90s by Patti Loveless who had a pretty big hit with it.
Suggestion #2: "'Til I Can Make It On My Own" by Tammy Wynette

How about an oldie but a goodie...
"Takin' It Easy" by Lacy J. Dalton....
Angela's voice reminded me of Lacy J's the first time I heard her sing. This song would be PERFECT for her...

OMG, I just got done saying the same thing to her in my post (see Angela, get down on you knees and thank God for that song). You couldn't be more right! Didn't Bonnie also do "It's a Heartbreak"? I'm thinking she did. I would love to hear Angela do that, and it has sort of a country sound to it, don't you think?

Angela would do well on a song like "Hold Fast", a contemporary song that showcases her faith as well as her marvelous voice.

Yes Reba, but not Fancy please!
I was just rewatching the performance videos from this week. It struck me while watching Whitney's so-so reditition of Ain't That Loney Yet, that Angela could have brought the house down with that one. It would have been a fantastic choice for her.

How about "Angel From Montgomery"..I would love to hear Angela sing that. She is by far the best and most original singer that I've ever heard on this show.

Some people have said they want to hear her sing something more up tempo, so I would like to hear her sing "Lesson in Leaving" - Jo Dee Messina. It's upbeat but not too fast. Definitely not a ballad!

Another oldie that I would love to hear her sing (but more of a ballad) is "Seven Year Ache" by Rosanne Cash. It's screaming for Angela's voice!
