as a diehard cowboy fan, parcells leaving, not glad, but not sad, i really would rather get rid of t.o., i'm just worried what coach jerry jones is gonna give us now, and what he's gonna do to get him

I don't like the Cowboys, but I am with you ...I would have rather have seen TO go instead...and isn't it a little late to be looking for a head coach...

All I know is that I'm going to be avoiding ESPN for a couple days now. If they do what they do everytime something big happens when there is nothing else going one, then they'll talk continusly about the subject. Who will coach next? Is it a good decision by Parcells? Are you suprised?........on and on and on.....

Patriot fans finally got a taste of their own medicine. They have very right to be upset, but publicly bashing the opponent---telling the players to kill themselves--is very imature. You need to handle losing a little better. You could be a Browns fan, so deal with it.
It's not like your team lost in the Super Bowl! The Pats havn't lost is the SB since '97!
I need to stop before I get so angry I lose control of myself.
yankees fan^^
i used to be a browns fan lol. browns fans r soo used to losing. its a blue moon when they win. lol

I really hope they win

Since my team (the Steelers) won last year I was rooting for the Patriots, but since they lost I will be rooting for the Chicago Bears so add me to that list...and digging out my old 45 of the Super Bowl Shuffle for those of you who remember that rap from 21 years ago...lol...
It would have been nice to see a replay of that Super Bowl ...Bears vs. Pats...but Manning and the Colts spoiled that...oh well...good luck to both teams....
and RedSoxGirl06...I live and die with the Red Sox among the Yankee fans at my school...most of whom are my students....normally I don't care if kids wear hats in the class (even though it is against policy) but Yankee hats are banned from my classroom...lol
yankeesfan
Jan 23 2007, 09:29 AM
I'm glad I don't have to go to your classromm (jk). Not that I really even wear Yankees hats, my head's to big.
What do you do if someone goes into your class wearing a Yankees shirt?

Don't underestimate the Bears...but I think that they want to give Payton a super bowl ring just like they wanted to give the bus one last year....
And about the Yankees shirts....I just pick on them mercilessly...sometimes I tell them turn it inside out saying it is vulgar ... j/k....but I do say something about it and how it should say Red Sox...

Oh, I'm not underestimating the Bears....I just mean that the NFC isn't nearly as good as the AFC. Sorta like the NL and the AL.
IrishEyes
Jan 23 2007, 08:04 PM
But the NL won the title last year...
What do you think about the rumors of the Michael Vick trade....him going to the Raiders for Randy Moss, draft picks, and other guys...

Jan 23 2007, 08:43 PM

Jan 23 2007, 08:44 PM
He is better than TO...not much...but better...I still wouldn't want either one on my team...

And that's why the Yankees got rid of Shef. The sad thing is, is that there is always a team willing to risk everything and take a chance on those kind of players.
IrishEyes
Jan 23 2007, 09:27 PM
The Yankees got rid of Shef because he was old and injured...if he was still any good he would still be there....same with Randy Johnson....
yankeesfan
Jan 23 2007, 11:20 PM
Don't you think they got tired of his complaining? They weren't going to give him the contract extension that he wanted so they traded him to a team that will. Yes, they are going younger.....and that's a good stategy, but lack of youth wasn't the only reason they traded him.

Sorry Stablersfan, but I have to disagree with you again...I was never into soccer...but I have to admit the only thing I know about soccer is how to spell it...lol...when I was growing up it was all about the big three sports baseball, football, and basketball....but Beckham is really nice eye-candy and maybe worth watching a game to see him...lol
yankeesfan
Jan 24 2007, 08:08 AM
Soccer can be sorta fun to watch......if you don't have to watch too much of it. Same with tennis; I can't watch a full game without getting bored out of my mind but a few sets is nice entertainment.

According to the Boston Red Sox they will be selling a couple hundred more tickets per game without adding more seats...all seats will be SRO...it is the oldest and the smallest park in MLB...
Other improvements new for 2007 include:
• a new "Bleacher Bar" under the center field seats, in the area formerly occupied by the batting cages, that would open during the season;
• a new women's restroom on the third-base side and renovations to the men's room there that was built with the ballpark in 1912;
• vending machines that will allow fans to buy public transportation tickets, called "CharlieCards," inside the ballpark;
• a new stairway to ease congestion behind home plate, resurrecting a plan from 1934 that allowed fans to go directly from Yawkey Way to the grandstand seats;
• cup holders for the field box seats;
• new escalators to the luxury club.
I hope they never tear down Fenway as long as I live...It is an amazing place to watch a game....
