This man is retired and only played for a short time with the Yankees
svuswimmer
Did he used to play for Texas and Washington?
yankeesfan
I don't have time to look for the answer right now, but this link has enough stats to find it.

Yankees historical stats
svuswimmer
Thanks for the link Yankeesfan.

Irisheyes, is it Soriano?
IrishEyes
No...it wasn't Soriano...this man played in the 70's...and he is deseased...he does have a son who plays baseball now...but not for the Yankees...
svuswimmer
Was he with the New York Giants?
IrishEyes
He played for the San Francisco Giants.....both father and son played for the Giants...son still plays for the Giants
svuswimmer
Bobby Bonds??
stablersfan
here is a question for you guys...

Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here, looks like Stan Van Gundy will be the new Orlando Magic head coach.

Was it Kevin Kouzmanoff of the Indians????
svuswimmer
I think your right Irisheyes.

Wow, Schilling was sooo close. I was really cheering for him!!! 8 2/3rd's innings, ouch. Darn Shannon Stuwart. O well, it was still an amazing day for him.

I was watching it ...it was great....

Also, Congrats to the Arizona womens softball team who won the softball title last night over Tennessee....
svuswimmer
Wow, I can't beleive the Inidans are doing this good. I mean in 1995 I was only like 5 or 6 years old and 1997 I was only like 7 or 8, so I don't remember a lot of the things that happened when the Indians had all this magic in Jacobs Feild. This year is awesome for them, Im soo excited!!
IrishEyes
I have another trivia question....

There are four 40-40 men in baseball.....can you name them....
svuswimmer
I'm pretty sure one of them is Barry Bonds, but I'm not sure about the rest. Can you give a hint?
IrishEyes
three of the four are still playing....and yes one is Barry Bonds....one plays for the Yankees, One plays for the Cubs, and the other is retired....
IrishEyes
Rags to Riches (the only fillie in the race) won the Belmont Stakes today....It is the only fillie to win the Belmont in 102 years....and she stumbled at the start.....
svuswimmer
Is the other A-rod, and...hmm...Cubs?? I don't know the rest lol.
IrishEyes
The four members of the 40-40 club are Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, A-Rod, and Alfonso Soriano....
svuswimmer
oo...Soriano...opps, I couldn't remember lol. That was a good question.
Heres one:

What was the shortest game in the AL?
stablersfan
Jeff Gordon jsut added another win to his tally after the race at Pocano was just called due to rain. Ryan Newman was second. jimmie Johnson finished 42 after a tire blowout.

Gordon's points lead has grown to 253 points ahead of the group.
svuswimmer
stablersfan, I dont know a lot about nascar, but I would love to go to a race. Have you been to one?

yeah. i have been to two, both at Darlington. the second was rained out but we still had fun. i think we sat in the rain for like two hours hoping it would stop. i actually could have went to see Ryan Newman that year, but chose to stay becuase the race would have started before i got back, kinda regret that move. oh well. it was a great experiance. i would go all the time if i could. actually i am trying to get tickets to Richmond this year. (crosses fingers). i know you dont know alot about nascar but the first race i attended was the race where Steve Park was seriously injured and caused his later early retirement from the sport.

anyway, its alot of fun and if you get a chance to go, do it. it will be worth it. and it also doesnt matter where you sit, any view is great.
Bubba_Bridges
Hi Bubba here. congratulations to Jeff Gordon. cool.gif
IrishEyes
Congrats to the Spurs who are up 2-0 over the Cavs in the NBA finals....

Congrats to Justin Verlander who pitched a no-hitter today in Detroit....he threw the 6th no-hitter in Tigers history....he also had 12 strikeouts in the game...totally awesome...and my Red Sox won today...thank God...it was a rough road trip to the West....
svuswimmer
That was a great game pitched by Verlander.

I am not sure how NASCAR works, but will he still drive a Chevy and still be sponsered by Bud? Will he have to change his number now that he has moved on? And one last question...will there be enough of Hendricks to go around, I mean don't they already have the top drivers in the sport? It seems like there are a lot of chiefs and no indians...again I apologize for my ignorance on the subject, but I am trying to learn more about NASCAR....thanks guys

No problem. smile.gif That's best the way to find out is ask. Yes, he (Dale) will still be driving a Chevy and Bud will be the sponsor. I don't believe he owns the #8 so, he probably be given a new number. I hearing from ESPN, that he will piloting the #5 or #25. Each owner is allowed four teams, so Hendrick will most likely release Kyle Busch. There will be a news confernce at 11 this morning on ESPNEWS explaining all the details.
