Sorry Randysgirl, I didn't see it...
What is everyone's opinion of the A-Rod situation? I think the actions of a kid will not let him in the Hall of Fame...All his numbers and records are corrupted...
No problem about not seeing the pro bowl. It's not nearly as popular as the Superbowl! After I posted that comment about the game, I was reading something online that made me wonder if I had been cheering for the wrong team!

I get the AFC and NFC confused, and I was really surprised that the Seattle Times didn't mention much about the game in the sports section on Monday. But I just checked the NFL site
Official NFL site, and I was correct. The NFC did win and the Seahawks and Cowboys teams were both part of that, so I feel better now!
Okay, onto A-Rod news. OMG, the sports page today was overflowing with stuff about this moron. I'm sorry but I've disliked him ever since he left Seattle for Texas. There were probably 10 articles about his steroid confession today and they all basically said the same thing. I should cut him some slack, I guess. He did admit that he took the stuff, so I guess that's something. But maybe not. I didn't see the interview, but the paper seems to think that it wasn't all sincere. I think he really tanked himself and ruined his reputation, to be honest. The paper showed a grid of his stats with all three teams... Mariners, Rangers and Yankees and now I know why his stats with the Rangers just shot up the way they did. Even with the Yankees you could see that the stats went down a lot. When I'd watch the Yankees on TV, he was striking out and so forth a lot more than usual. I just thought maybe he had deflated his ego a little bit. I think Texas should fine him big time or something. He says he only used them in his three years in Texas, so who knows. But still... That makes the team look bad, IMO, and I bet some of his former players (if they are still there) are ticked off at him. I don't know if they still have the same coach, but the owner should do something. However, it's been so long since he's played for Texas that I doubt it would do much good.
The one who was really stupid was Michael Phelps (Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer). I can't believe he would smoke marijuana in public and not think that some photographer wouldn't catch him in the act!? I'm glad they suspended him. I don't think his medals need to be taken away, but I bet they don't mean as much to him now as they did when he won them. Some roll model he and A-Rod are....
