I'm a bluegrass lover, not a rocker, but as a picker it was very evident to me that Tim had more talent than all of the others combined! He tackled one of the most difficult songs to do, and pulled it off very well, from his skills in music, the entertainment value, and it was due to his obvious ability to handle vocals and playing some butt-kicking guitar.
As a bluegrasser, I'm not big on rock or long hair, but Tim is talented. The ease and confidence he had to switch between vocals and picking showed his talent. Randy Owens and Blake Shelton seemed to like him, so it might have been the witch in the middle (who knows more about wearing bad clothing that shows her lack of bosom, than about good country music - and what was that comment about Miss Hacker's clothes being inappropriate for Wal-Mart? The witch is obviously out of touch with real people) that didn't like him? Who knows.
If you read this Tim, keep up the good work! Country music has room, and it is time for another long-haired country boy. Now we all have to listen to lack-luster copy-cat vocalists on the male side. Nashville Star made a mistake. Hope Tim finds another way to get on record!
