sorry if this was already talked about but which A.D.A is better Casey Novak Alexandria Cabot or Abby Carmicheal
personally i like them all but i like Carmicheal and Novak better than i do cabot i don't know why i just can't really get into cabot i mean i love them all to death but i can relate to novak and carmicheal alot more.

100% hands down Novak for me, Cabot was too much of an "ice princess" for me...I lovee stephanie march but Cabot was too cold and distant for me to relate too. Abby Carmichael was alright, for some reason I liked her MUCH better on the mothership then when she was on SVU those couple of times...I think its all a preference, I think the writers have made Novak more relatable for people, gave her more backstory and more deep cases then Cabot got but thats just me

I like Alex Cabot best. I'm not quite sure why but I sometimes really can't stand Novak. There's just something about her thats like...uh i cant explain it. Plus I think Alex is a little easier on the eyes. Novaks face is too...distracting. And not in a good way, no offense. sorry thats just my two cents.

personally though alex may have been icy she was a tough, strong and productive ada.
she was kind ofa b*tch but in a good way, she got the job done so I think she was the best ada.

I think Alex Cabot. She was nice and always got Benson and Stabler out of trouble.
Novak just lets them be. It seems like she trys to let them figure it out and get themsevles out..

Yea I know what you mean. Casey's all like, "well you couldn't hold him thats not my problem" and walks off... while Alex is more like "I'll see what I can do."

This is hard. When i first saw the episode where alex left the show, i was not happy at all for a new ADA. But i really like Casey now.. I don't know...

I really didnt like Casey at the beggining... I would have much rather had alex back... but she has really grown on me... I personally think that Alex helped more as in like got them out of trouble but I really like casey... she now seems more like Real... Idk thats just my opinion!

They are both amazing, but I have to say I like Alex just a little more, she definately had the "Pushing the boundaries, I am going to win" thing down, while Casey has the sarcasm and wit.

I love both Casey and Alex, but if I had to choose it would be Casey. I love her spicey attitude and the way she always says what is on her mind. I think I remember seeing the actress who plays Casey on an earlier episode where she played a woman accused of raping a male striper. It was so funny seeing her as the perp rather then the ADA calling the shots. I guess because I started watching SVU two years ago, I am use to Casey. Even though I do have season 2 on dvd, I just love Casey! She is awesome!

Ni denying it i liked Alex but Casey is the winner by far!!!!!!
I didn't really start watching svu until the one were Casey took over (not planed i promise) SO i didn't really know Cabot until a couple months ago when Omni2 showed the reruns. I liked her and there were times where i was like she is so awesome! but i love Casey!!! she won me over and i think even if she gets replaced at some point (i really hope not!) i would still like her better!

Alex is definitely my fav. I really didn't like Casey when she started, but she's grown on me now, especially since the episode 'Goliath' where she sent out a subpoena for Donald Rumsfeld. That was a classic. Casey is alright now but i still think ALex was the better ADA. I'd like to see them working together.

Of course it would be ALEX. She was a great ADA and I would love to see her back. She would blow Casey out of the water.

I love Casey. She seems more down to earth. she is also tougher. she has a soft and a hard side. Alex seemed to soft, and ony had her hard sides when she was pissed or didnt know what to do. but they are both amazing. i think if they teamed up the defendant would difinitly lose.

I feel the same way. when Alex left i was devistated but i have grown to love Casey I love her sarcasum and the was she haddles vics. Shes awsome. Dont get me wrong i would love to have Alex back. But I still like Casey a little better.

i think they are both good in there own ways. they are different and thats what makes them good. but if i had to choose....well i cant..so i pick both.

Hmm... this is a tough one! I really like both of them, I think they both do an exceptional job, only with their own little flairs and styles. I love that Alex is the hard ass, ur not gonna win because i said so, type of ada. But then with Casey, she seems like she can just laugh at the defense sometimes when she knows she will win and she wants to rub it in their faces. I would probably have to say Casey though. I think it really depends on the episode on how much I like them right then though.

It really depeneds on the episode on how i like sometimes i like alex better and other times i like casey better. but Carmiceal was way better than alex was.

I read stephanie march's blog thing on mariska's website, and she said something about having like 12 writers behind her, and she still couldn't win a single case. I was thinking, i mean, that could'nt be true....if alex wasn't winning any cases, then don't you think she would've been relocated or something?

I love Casey.
She has a bit more "life" to her than Cabot did...

I like alex because well first off we have the same name and look kind of similar but I think she was more passionate about her job than casey is: she goes above and beyond for the cases.

I'm torn. I really liked Alex and didn't like Casey at all when she first joined. But over time, I've realy grown to like Casey too. It's been interesting to watch Casey struggle to fit into SVU, learn the hard way in court, and take the chances she takes. I've always liked the eppys where Casey and her boss ADA who eventually became a judge interact (sorry, actress is Judith Light but cannot remember character's name). Do we have to choose?

her name is liz donnely. when alex was on the show she was the bureau chief (I believe) and it was always funny to see them fight over issues

alex won quite a few cases, thought the writers always seemed to enjoy throwing roadblocks in her way eg: The witness backing out, the defense attorney pulling some law out of thin air, etc, etc


in my opinion that almost made the show more real, because in reality the prosecution doesn't win every case

i'd go for ada novak. i don't know, i just admire her courage and her work with the squad.

Casey. Most definitely Casey. I like the way she interacts with the squad. Much more personable than Alex. She jokes around a bit more too. So yeah, Casey = )

I think i'm gonna go with Casey on this one.

Alex was a much better lawyer than Casey. And Casey used to be a much lawyer than she is now.
When she first arrived at SVU, Casey looked and acted like a professional. Now she dresses like a scholarship law student who has to shop at Kmart and can't afford a haircut. And her job performance has degraded as well. In the four new episodes in February, all the cases were plead out. When did drug addiction became a defense for murder, as in Dependant. Loophole was questionable, but leniency in a criminal case in exchange for victims receiving help was happened before. But not with one of the possible plantiffs in the room. Dr Huang was questioning their tactics with the prisioner in Philadelphia. But the worst was Casey getting the civil case against her and Elliot dropped in exchange for a lesser charge in "Haystack". That is a clear cut violation of the ABA code of legal ethics. It's enough to get her fired from the DA's office and disbarred.
This can all be dumped in the laps of the writers who are clearly not doing their research like they used to in earlier episodes.

I am 100% with Alexandria Cabot....She rules the the whole a.d.a department!!!

Hmmm....I like them both pretty equally actually. But if I have to pick I'd probably go with Alex, as my boyfriend put it the other night "she's a hard ass isn't she?!" and I think that's what puts her slightly ahead on my list. Even though it's pretty equal between both.

Alexandra Cabot was far better, IMHO. She was more understanding of the challenges a rape case poses to the detectives. She was more sympathetic to the detectives.

Casey Novak is kind of wimpy. She lets people off to leniant, and I don't think the Judges like her either. They never seem to take her side on the arraignments and bail hearings.
