Ok lets see how many people post a reply about this.
How many people will really watch the show after the first episode?
How many will not even do that?
How many will watch and vote for someone?
How many will watch the whole season regardless?
Nana4
I will most likely watch the entire season. I have every year & ended up picking a few winners and a few 2nd place.....I loved Buddy Jewell, George Canyon, Jayron, jAM & Casey Rivers, Matt Mason from last year & others too.

I don't always agree with everything the judges say & haven't always agreed with all the winners or ones who've left the show too soon but I do like to watch all of the contestants perform and do hope they will each be given more time this year biggrin.gif .

I was at the taping of the first show, but will reserve my comments until after it airs. I will, however, watch the first show and not watch it again!

I heard about the first show and agree with you 100% I will watch only the first show.

How many people will really watch the show after the first episode? not I
How many will not even do that? I will watch/tape the first show
How many will watch and vote for someone? Not I
How many will watch the whole season regardless? Never shall I

I watched it every year too. After season three I was not sure if I would watch season 4, but that one turned out to be fantastic.

I was disappointed to hear that Tim was selected by the judges to go.But I was terribly disappointed when Carrie (Spanky) wasn't one of the finalists.

As someone reported Tim said, at the end only one person is stiill standing. After every show there will be very angry fans as favorites are eliminated.

I think I'm going to watch the first episode to see this Tim stuff. I heard the monitor for his vocals was really low and that all you could hear was the band.

I say anyone who was planning on voting for Tim still calls in and votes when they show the number for him.
...does it work that way? Do they let you vote as the show is going on or are the phone lines closed until it ends? I feel like if voting was going on, and they got a huge number of votes for Tim, they might regret their decision.

New plan: if voting is not until after the show, let's say we all email record companies and tell them we want tim.
silverado
I will watch Tim Thursday but after that i will stick to following him on www.timlaroche.com
and not watch the N.S. show.

As stated in another topic, I will watch the first show, and WILL still call in my votes but, from there.... I will remove USA Network from my channel selection menu. I can not and will not support something which is IMHO rigged.

1. It depends on how well I like the other contestants.
2. I'm definitely watching the first show.
3. Since we won't be able to vote for Tim, see #1.
4. I suspect I'll watch the whole season if only to see Randy Owen wink.gif.

Well I have never watched Nashville Star ......by luck only I had just upgraded my cable to getting USA so with that said I will watch the first episode to see Tim
after that I probably won't watch anymore.
I had never even heard of Nashville star before this. I'm really an American idol fan anyway.

We all love you Tim!

I will watch the first show but I'm not sure what I'll do after that. I suspect I'll just tune in long enough each week to check on who is eleminated. My heart just isn't in it this year, mostly because not a single one of the many talented finalist I was familar with through the board made it. Honestly, last season was the first time I watched every week and participated by voting. I did so because I felt a "connection" even though my finalist, Mike wasn't chosen to be on the show. Folks I "knew" from the board were chosen, giving us a connection and reason to want to watch. This year I don't feel any connection and haven't been overly impressed with the talent chosen in the end. The few I was impressed with well, seems they won't be around long on the show. Go figure. I may change my mind when I see the first show but that remains to be seen. As WVG reminded me in another thread, ER is on at the same time, it's been a very good show this year and I've always liked ER. wink.gif

I'll watch the first show and if I can vote, I'll vote blink.gif . As to whether or not I have comfort in the system is another story. Is this T.V. show the real thing, or is it just another dog and pony show to create the illussion. The illussion that Warner Brothers whats you to believe that the winner of Nashville Star will be the the next Star of Country Music. The person that Warner Brothers picks to be the star will be the most cost effective project, not the person that America voted on. Just an opinion dry.gif

I will watch the first show...however after that...will
be, most likely, hit and miss....just to see who is moving
forward...as far as voting...I doubt that I will be casting
any votes and I am sure that my little votes will not be
missed...They would only be a drop in the bucket....

I have always watched NS ....Didn't want to miss a show...
I did however miss a show last March... was in the middle
of Arizona, heading for Nashville...Russ called so I would
have Chris Y's # to vote for him....and vote for him I did..
Something like that wouldn't happen with NS 5....

I will.
Couldn't tell you.
I will.
I will.

While Tim was my first choice, and I'm very disappointed to see him go, I will still watch. I've watched NS every year and definitely didn't agree with every decision, but this is a new season and again, while very disappointed, I will be watching.

I'll add my 2 cents worth here, as far as you guys who hate country music how the hell did you ever start listening to someone who is trying to make a career of singing country music? As for many on this board "country music is the only music" and that's the way it is and has been for me for many years. Many of us have also been upset or angry when we felt the wrong one was sent home by the judges but we continued watching and supporting the show any way.For those of you who do not plan to continue watching shame on you for showing your true colors.I think I can safely speak for many here who watch because we love country music and the new talent we get to watch . In closing let me say good bye and good ridence to those who choose to stop watching because of their SOUR GRAPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tongue.gif

Yoda, it's a good thing that your "2 cents worth" has ZERO value, otherwise your post may have offended some people out here. My assumption is that those who "hate country music" out here, have started listening to it becuase they love Tim's music and support him, IE: they appriciate talent.
Some of us tuned into the show to watch and support someone whom should have gone futher in the show and feel robbed of the chance to support this person. Maybe we feel that now that Tim was removed from the show there is nothing left of interest to us, or maybe we feel that we can not or do not choose to support a show that appears (in some opinions) to have flawed methods.

As for "True Colors" yes my true colors are those which support those close to me, and I feel wronged by the fact that Tim was sent away before going to a "popular" vote. I began watching the show to see and support Tim, and now that he is not there, what is the draw that is supposed to keep me watching? So Yoda, you got the text correct when you said "good bye and good ridence" but from me, it is to NS not to folks who care enough to post their opinions and thoughts openly.

Carrie (Spanky) tried out again this year and got passed up again. I met her and partied with (Sherrie, call me) her at the Baton Rouge auditions for season 4. She rocked so hard. I cannot believe that someone like RickieJoleen made it on and they passed on Carrie. She has to be one of the most gifted unsigned female singers I have ever seen. A shame.
