I just bought Happy Accidents a couple of weeks ago and I have Mystic Pizza and Homocide: Subway on tape and I've yet to watch any of them. I need a kick in the butt to get myself in gear and watch. Now, with the new eppy club, I'll have to watch "One" Sunday. Another excuse.
Maybe you need the same kick in the butt I obviously got...the past few weekends, I've been on a Vincent movie rampage! Since I just watched so many, I have fresh thoughts...
Happy Accidents: Just watched it this weekend. I was thinking it was going to be too much of a love story for me to stomach, but I was pleasantly surprised. Super cute! Like Enaka said, he was absolutely adorable in ths role, so awkward and curious. Loved it...need to buy it.
The Cell: Wow, he's really good at playing creepy. The movie as a whole was a bit weird for me though.
Full Metal Jacket: Watched that one this weekend too. I had just seen it about 6 months ago for the first time, before I discovered my VDO obsession. When I realized it was him in that role though, I wanted to watch it again. Too bad he was only in the first half, cause he's really good at playing crazy too! On a side note, it must be nice to be so tall because at 5'4", if I had to gain 70 lbs, I'd look a heck of a lot fatter than he did!!
Thumbsucker: Pretty good movie, but nothing I would need to buy. The kid (who was also in Cruise to Nowhere, season 5) and him had good chemistry together as a father and son. I think it's interesting that there are a handful of people who he has been in movies with that also have guest starred on CI. And that there are a few actors who he appears in multiple movies with...like Vince Vaughn for example.
Men in Black: By far the funniest of his performances that I have seen. I could watch that over and over...it really shows his physical abilities. Some of those weird movements, I don't even know how someone can move like that!
Mystic Pizza: Decent movie, and Vincent looks pretty hot being all scruffy in it. Also see tighty whities comment above.
Adventures in Babysitting: I think I watched this movie about 500 times when I was a kid. So I love the movie. He's only in it for one scene and his hair is not okay...but if you want to do some major drooling over his muscular arms and tight jeans, it's worth watching!
I think those are all the ones I've seen. There are a lot that I think I will have trouble finding to rent (the Blockbuster by my apartment sucks), and I'm always hesitant to buy unless I know I like the movie. But overall, I am just fascinated with the diversity of roles he's played. And no matter what kind of role it is, he just has this magnetism, which is apparently what got me hooked on LOCI in the first place. What an amazing actor...
