I'm seeing more Tim fans here all the time.....yipppppppeeeeeeee. I'd like to know more about the person behind the screen name if you're willing to share. I work for a company which provides services to people with developmental disabilities. I've been with the company 9+ years and am the Director of Quality Assurance and Acting Director of IT. I'm also an adjunct instructor at our local college...had that gig about 7 years. I have 1 child, 2 grandchildren and a spoiled rotten Jack Russell Terror biggrin.gif. How about you?

To add to this thread....

I am a semi-retired lady living in Florida for the past 15 years..but originally born and raised in Massachusetts....

I have 6 children and five and a quarter grandchildren...who are scattered all over the world...

Two living in Central Mass, one in New Jersey, one in Florida, one in California, and one in Stuttgart, Germany.
We are preparing our next move in late spring to Tennessee...have been waiting for about 5 years and this is the year.
Obviously love country music and the wonderful opportunity to meet so many wonderful people some of whom have become lifelong friends.
Favorites being Darryl Worley, Trace Adkins, Chris Young, Emerson Drive, and of course Tim LaRoche.

Life is good....

Okay, I am in....

Just ask me what you want to know. Just kidding. laugh.gif

I married my soul mate at age 32. I waited a long time to meet him. We have twin 7 yr old boys. WVGal has a Jack Russell Terror. Picture 2 of them, but turn them into beagles. Them's my boys.
I became a grandmother last July at the age of 38. I managed to achieve this without having kids of my own.

I worked for the Dept of Mental Retardation for 14 years. I did everything from direct care to supervising 23 staff to speech therapy assistant to habilitative coordinator. That was when I was laid off. I spent the next two years "retired". We also moved from Salem to Central, MA to be closer to my Mom (this was when Mom dragged me to the 140 to see this guy named Tim).

After major boredom set in, I took a part time job in an arena at a local University. We had concerts sometimes. Prior to one such concert, I walked into the loading dock area. I barely noticed a group of men off to my right. As I passed them, I got this whiff of the most incredible scent. I stopped dead in my tracks, looked up (way up) and saw Tim McGraw. Normally I am a chatterbox, but this time I just froze. I stared, took another strong sniff, and walked away. I regret not having asked him what the heck he was stinking like. My husband needs some of that. Everyone's husband needs some of that.

After 2 yrs of working a backbreaking job, I now find myself back in Human Services. I find it unusal that 20 yrs ago my husband and I found ourselves on third shift, working with people with developmental delays. Today we are at different jobs, but we are on third shift working with people who have major issues.

Not much to say from me either. My name is Sandy, I'm a proud grandmother & mother and guess you would say I'm retired. I love country music and sure am hoping to hear some real country from you and the other finalists. Your interview with WW was good but need to know more & I think hearing you guys performing live with the NS band, you will all sound much better than the video clips we were able to view.

Good luck!

I agree, it is nice to know the person behind the screen name......lol. I am also in Human services. I am 36 years old. I work in a Family Center, We do parent support, parenting ed., playgroups, free clothes christmas gift program, just all sorts of stuff to support families in our community. I am married and have 2 boys. I also have my 8 yrs. old black Lab "Tray". My family is the most important thing to me!
Like I said before, I went to school with Tim. It's nice to meet you all here.

Isn't it surprising how many of us share human services? Northfield, my bestest dog ever was a beagle. Friends gave her to me after the death of my husband and I don't know how I would have made it without her. You have great taste in dogs as well as musicians wink.gif. Mike, I feel like I know everything about you now biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif. Krafty, don't make me do the arithmetic. When is that quarter grandchild due?

Hi we're Mike and Nancy and we're from the wickedly awesome (insert jokes here)town of Athol in North Central MA. We both work for the same small software company, and that is how we met. We've been together for 3 years or there abouts. Mike is a lead tech and software developer and Nancy is an Executive Administrator. Besides rooting for Tim, we hike, geocache, and spend time with family and friends. Nancy loves to cook and Mike's tummy shows this. wink.gif Nancy is very Martha Stewartish and Mike is quite RedNeck (yes Tim will verify this).... What a combo wink.gif Nice to meet you all.

Y'all made me look up a word. I like that in a couple wink.gif. Now that I know what it is, geocaching sounds like loads of fun. Do Mike & Nancy prove something about opposites attracting?

Now you made me go look up the word. My husband would love doing something like that. I might tag along for the exercise. Yes, he would wicked love it. Also the idea of giving him a gadget and sending him off sounds good too, but only sometimes. wink.gif

Mahtha Stewart meets Jeff foxworthy. This is something I must see. My husband and I are quite different as well. On a much smaller scale though. He is too mellow and quiet, I am too energetic and loud. biggrin.gif

Have Mike and Nancy hiked the M & M trail? You can't get there from heyah. Unless ya wanna climb a cliff. I am in Athol at least twice a week. Mainly cuz I don't get the Pats sad.gif at my house.

Beagles are freakin awesome. The two I have now had big shoes to fill when my first one died. So big that I had to get two. I sometimes hate it when my husband says, "whatever you want, Babe." cool.gif These 2 have been quite the handful. They were part of our desicion to leave the city and return to the middle of nowhere. They can bark to their hearts content. BAROOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
