All writers are weird - and I write poetry too so I'm lucky to not be half-mad, suicidal . . . or an alcoholic. That is the typical behavior of those who create the best poetry. I also play guitar - and those guys should be able to put their instrument in the dash and park in the handicapped parking space.

Yet - we all read, watch CI (and other shows), and listen to the heart-rending songs written from such folks as you find in show business. We're supposed to think of each other as family so I really should stop with the harsh critisism. What I said is true, though. Edgar Allen Poe, the Father of the short story . . . died face down in the snow - drunk. Sad but fact.

Another newbie here. I've never done this before and, I must admit, was a bit overwhelmed by the 192 postings to the "Board Etiquette" thread. I hope I got enough out of it to avoid trouble.

LOVE VDO, LOVE, LOCI, and I am SOOOOOOO anti-ship it isn't funny. I enjoy reading everyone's thoughts and the inside scoop on my favorite show and, of course, VDO. I may not have much to say very often, but have decided to register. I may have to start a notebook, so I can keep track of which threads I like and how far I've read in each of them. WOW!!!!!

Hi, everyone! I am a new CI fan and new member to the board. I have been catching up on old episodes of CI via USA (and DVR). Husband originally tuned into the the show but being the good wife that I am, I immediately tuned out anything that my husband was watching! First I noticed that Chris Noth was a major player (interested, the man is a dream walking!) but when I checked out the Robert Goren character played by VDO I was hooked. I love psych games and the character is a master! I didn't know too much about VDO except that he scared the s_it out of me in the The Cell so I did a little research of my own. He is only one of the best actors around! I love the CI teams and record all episodes to watch when I am not working or crying over local football team with hubby. We have a teen princess still at home and spoiled male Cocker Spaniel. Looks like I will be spending a nice, cold Northeast winter with CI and all of you. Thank you all for making me feel welcome.

P.S. I have worked for nearly thirty years in a facility that once greatly resembled the one that Bobby Goren winds up in this Thursday. Brings back unwelcome flashbacks as we have grown since then but thirty years ago mental health issues were rarely discussed in open forums.

I registered the other day but haven't had much time to enjoy as of yet. My name's Judy - HUGE Vincent D'Onofrio fan. I got hooked on Criminal Intent totally by accident but don't ever miss and episode now.

For the record I'm an avid NO SHIPPER. Eames and Goren are great partners, good friends - NO ROMANCE.

I hope to be an active member and have enjoyed reading the various posts when time allows.

Hey, I am new here. I discovered LOCI in late 2003, and I have been so hooked on the series. I don't mind if I watch it on USA with the reruns, and San Diego's KUSI-TV, channel 51, too.

Tonight's episode might be the best ever.

Hi, I guess I'm still a newbie and should have introduced myself a few post ago. I love CI and SVU too. I am a huge fan of Bobby and Elliot, but also think the gals on the shows do a great job too.

My oldest son is in the Army in Afghanistan, hense the insane part of mom. (Not really he is actually in a fairly safe area.) My insanity comes from other parts of life, but I'm hanging in there....lol You'll probably notice most of my post are in the middle of the night, I'm a night owl.

I watched tonight's episode. I will be traumatized if Gorem leaves the show. I joined to protest his leaving (or beg for his return). Does anyone know if he is leaving CI ?

I know where your coming from.. my son just returned from his second tour in afghanistan and my son in law just returned from Iraq.. they were gone at the same time so i am familiar with the mom's insanity syndrom. so you can be mine AND nats best friend.

I'm a long time "Law and Order" fan. Original Flavour, SVU and CI are all great.

I'm loving CI much more since it moved to USA because I feel the show gets a little more leeway on USA instead of being on NBC where there is a certain level of expectation for certain things.

Thats something I've been looking around and can't find a topic on.

I've been Lurk-wol for a while (LURKing WithOut a Login).

I've tried to read as many other threads as possible but when I post my own threads I apologize if I've missed other peoples topics on the same subjects - I hope not to violate any rules accidentally.

I've also read the rules posted here by "YankeesFan" on nettiquette and board rules.
Kudos and thanks to YankeesFan on posting a really good set of concise and sensible nettiquette.

Hi, I'm a former lurker. I couldn't help but post about untethered, so i thought I would introduce myself.

I've been watching L&O ever since I can remember (watching the old mothership epi's are kinda fun now since I have forgot that I already know the ending). Recently got into CI, but using itunes (pre-strike sorry ), USA, and Bravo I have caught up on all but a handful (which i try to watch sparingly so as not to waste them).

Anyway, I'm a first year law student (and shamefully admit L&O played a role in my choice of profession), and often procrastinate using message boards.

MOre people! Yay! I was getting tired of hearing the old folks on here complain about "everything changing". So I'm glad to see that new blood is being injected, while the coagulated stale old blood is being flushed out.

my nephew is currently serving in Iraq...its very hard, but I can't help to be so proud. Bug, I'm glad your family returned safely. Lucky, I will pray for you and your family!

Hi all, I just joined. I love all the L&O!! But CI is becoming my fav. I do have 1 question, what is a Shipper?

In my yrs of watching L&O I have noticed something between L&O series and an old series on HBO, which is MANY, & I do mean MANY actors are/were on both shows. Christopher(Elliot), Cassidy(?) Irish character from SUV early yrs(O'Reilly on OZ) as well as D.B Wong were on OZ. So was Erbe and Rita Moreno(Goren's Mom) as well as numerous guest stars. Anyone else ever notice that? For those that don't know OZ, it was HBO's first series and it was about a Max security prison. Elliot & Cassidy & Erbe(1st woman on death row) were inmates, bad ones. B.D. Wong and Rita played a priest and a nun.

I started watching orig L&O about 8 yrs ago, I had just moved to MO from CA and didn't have the $$ to turn my Dish Network on so I only have local channels to watch. I just feel in love with L&O!! I've watched SVU and CI since they've started. When it is 6pm here my husband knows it is L&O time and whenever I find it all I put it there.

Hello everyone! Newbie to board, here, but no newbie to LO: CI - I LOVE the show! ...been watchin' for a few years now.

Anyhooo - I'm Shay, and I live in Texas (... for the time being lol) ...25 ...proud "mama" of a chinchilla (Basil), and a very goofy dog (border collie/husky mix named Romney) lol



A little off topic, here, I guess but I just have to say - great work in the Fan Art section, guys! I'd love to contribute something, but sketches would probably have to be all... I don't have Photoshop anymore . . . . I love to draw, but - bad shayder LOL - I've actually not tried a sketch of Vincent D'O yet... I'll have to give it a shot, huh?
Oh yeah! I almost forgot - I HAVE done a few 'mash-ups' that I'm kind of proud of... "flattering", and "Not Good for Business" Chek 'em out and let me know what ya think

Been new to the boards for a couple of days but not new to L & O. Okay new to CI but not SVU and the mothership. Been watching those since they started. Growing out of the original. It is boring me and SVU is still fine but CI just IDK does something to excite my brain. The way VDO solves them cases just mesmorizes me. Anyway I am married, have 2 kids, a boy and a girl and I live in Illinois and work all the time. I don't have a lot of time to spend here but when I am not working I am here or try to be here.
