Hey everybody, I was wondering who your favoriate character on SVU is, and for what reason. Everybody thinks diffrentley and I wanted to see what ya'lls thought.

Benson because I think I'm a lot like her. And because shes tough but shes also very nice, like to the victims.

I like them all, the chemistry between the cast makes it great.

I take crap for this, but I really love Casey. She's tough, she's stubborn, she's quirky, and she's willing to put her job on the line if she sees injustice. And I really hate it when people are like, "I hate Casey because she's not Alex," and refuse to like her simply because Alex is gone. It's so annoying. I have no problem with Alex; I just like Casey more. I also prefer the legal and trial parts of the show, although of course I love all the cops and the detective parts. I suspect this may be because I can see myself as a prosecutor more easily that I can see myself as a cop. And I can't really pick a favorite detective. It's too hard!

I agree with you. I liked Alex. I loved Alex. But, we have Casey now and on top of having red hair which I really like red hair and she is hot, and she can hit baseballs which is hot, I think she is a good lawyer DA. I liked the way Alex really got into the cases especially in one of my favoroites where she tricked the cops into going into the boy's house and getting those video tapes. That is my favorite episode with Alex ever except when she gets "killed". But, I think that Casey is great and she is young and new and not sure what she is getting into but she is a confident lawyer because it is hard to actually have living victims.

Plus, the actor Diane Neal. She is brave for taking over a roll from a loved actor. Like when the new cop took over for Briscoe when he died. A lot of people criticized him for not being Briscoe. Well, he isn't but he is still good and how hard was that to step into THAT roll?

Casey used to freak me out lol. But gradually I got to where I really liked how she came down hard on peoples' asses in the courtroom. Then I saw some old episodes with Alex, and she was okay. But she just didn't seem to have that "your-ass-is-goin'-down" attitude in the courtroom. She was cool in her own way, and I like her too, it's just that I like Casey better.

My favorite character is Benson. I love her compassion for the victim. My second is Fin and you just gotta love Munch. I love all of them!!!

They're all great characters. You couldn't have found a better cast than this. However, I would say that my favorite characters would have to be Stabler and Munch. Stabler really comes from the Harry Truman School of Personal responsibility and intergrity. I'm not always a fan of his conspiracy theories, but I do like how Munch's sense of humor keeps the show from becoming too dark, even though the show does detail with serious crimes. I would also have to say that I like Benson as well. I love it when she confronts the bad guys and looks great doing so. I also like her repore with kids. I admire Benson and Stabler's intergrity in standing up for the victims, no matter what the consequences.

Fin Rocks! Benson is fabulous and of course very pretty. She was also great in her only role on Seinfeld, proving she can play anything. Didn't she spend the night with that one dude in the SVU? I didn't like it. It was like the X-Files when they tried to bring relationships in. Let the nightime soaps do that, in my humble opinion.

My favorite character on svu would have to be Munch.

Casey is hot but Benson is well, lets say more "enjoyable"...

Oh, and something that is fun that me and my dad call the "The Many Faces of Law and Order" is try to spot the new charcters on the older Law and Order and SVU shows but they are different. Like Lt. Van Buren on regular Law and Order played a Black Lady once who witnessed the crime. And Diane Neal who plays Casey played a rich bitchy like chacacter criminal. Fin on SVU played a Drug guy on regular Law and Order. We always like to say, "For Damn! They gotr out of prison and now they are (whatever - cops, DA's that way). it is fun!

And B.D. Wong is most certainly awesome.

My favorite character would be Olivia Benson and Fin.

Mine is Stabler. I think he does some of the best acting on the show and I just like the character

Casey...She brings a sense of toughness without being hard...She is passionate about her job and fights for what she believes in...Her intensity is very attractive...

i like benson and munch cause i'm like them both benson she is tough great with children doesn't joke when it's bussiness niether do i and munch he maybe old but he's cute to me and he's funny and isn't afraid to ask women out cause he's devorced and isn't afraid to be rejected. benson is pretty. munch is cute.stabler is a hunk i mean have you seen him with his shirt off.(whistle)

I love Olivia, Melinda and Fin. I love Olivia because she's strong and just great all around. Melinda because I love everything about her and Fin because I love his coolness and his outifits.

My all time favorite and only favorite was ELLIOT STABLER!!!!!! I Love his character, he is so explosive and uncontrollable that I love him. I wish I could be like that, fearless. Well actually he is not fearles, he fears losing his family, but you know what I meant. I love that he becomes so involved in his cases. It's a big turn-on. He keeps saying he hates his job, but at the same time I don't think he's there for the money, there's something else there.

Like I said he was my favorite, he ztill is, but now I love them all. They are all so different, yet so awesome. I like them all!

Please don't say that your favorite is Elliot just because he is a hot muffin (GRANTED HE IS, AND YOUR OPINION COUNTS) but there is so much more to Elliot Stabler than the cute body and face (and awesome acting) Christopher Meloni offers. There is the great personality and power about Elliot Stabler. I know this would not be possible without the awesome actor...Without the great actor, hsi character wouldn't be that great...but the question is character, not actor!!!!

Okay I like all them. I should have a favorite but i cant decide heres what i like about each of them:

Olivia- She is very involved in all her cases and gets emotional sometimes which helps you get into the show more. And there is just something about her i guess.

Elliot- Hes awesome. I love how hes so unpredictable yet predictable. You dont know what hes going to do but you know hes going to explode. Its suspenceful.

Munch- I love the humor he brings to the show. I think he is halarious. He lightens up the mood when it needs lightening up.

Fin- I just love fin. Hes kinda funny and hes wicked cool I guess. I also like how he knows alot and he really helps the SVU squad with the stuff he knows from Narc. I also like how he reacts to stuff.

Alex- Alex is an awesome ADA. She dedicated and when you watch her you can really get into her head and she make you want her to win. She will do a lot for the squad to like putting her neck on the line for supinas (sp?), arrest warrents etc. Also I want to be a DA when I grow up so yeah.

Casey- Shes also a really good ADA. I like how she interogates the defendant or witness. She always seems to be on top and the defendant usually can't outwit her. Also she pleas out people that deserve to be plead out. She is more for mercy while Alex is more for justice (usually).

Cragen- He has a lot of power and he controls the squad. If it wasnt for him the Det.s & ADAs would make a lot of mistakes. He also makes sure they are mentally healthy which will help them stay with SVU longer.

ME Warner- I think she is the best ME. She always goes above what is expected of her and she really helps out the detectives. Shes very dedicated and hard working.

Wong- He is a very good phycatrist and is always a help to the Det.s when they need a confession. I also think he has a good subtle sense of humor.

All together they make up a awesome show.... Olivia helps you get involved and Elliot provides suspence, while Munch brings in some humor and Fin has humor too along with street smarts. The ADAs are dedicated and help you get interested in the cases while Cragen, Warner and Wong provide a lot of nessecary info to help out the Detectives and ADAs be succesful and they also add intrest & facts to the show.

no i agree with you each character brings something to the show that makes it so good thats why this show is so GREAT!!!!

NOPE Katie, you're not the only one. I agree with you. Like I said earlier, I had my all favorite ELLIOT but in each show I learn something else about the characters that I love...They are all great!!!

BENSON!!!! she is the best character on the show. She really loves her job and she loves to help people. She has a tough outside with criminals and soft inside with victims. Shes like the kind of person you just want to get to know better and hopefully there will be more of her on the new season than there was this past episode. And Mariska Hargitay is the best actress that lived!! I AM OBSESSED!!!!

Olivia cuz i can relate to her, she displays such strong personality, and i admire that. I could go on and on buther character inspires me. I connect with her.
