The WWE writing team went down to Ohio Valley Wrestling last week for a half-day to see how things were going, and well, they weren't too impressed with what they saw. They believe that the place has "fallen apart" since Paul Heyman (and previously Jim Cornette) was running it. They don't see too many "hot prospects" down in OVW. Also, the place doesn't seem to be run too well, although, WWE doesn't spend much money on it. With three brands, OVW has become less of a priority because they are using most everyone. WWE used to send people with experience or wrestlers that weren't being used down to OVW to help train the wrestlers. Basically, OVW is lacking "teachers", which ends up hurting the talent.

It's just like all the major sports. When you have too many teams, you spread the talent thin. 3 shows for WWE plus TNA. If you don't have excellent people running the minors in a situation like this then eventually the level of talent will go down on the big stage. Baseball is example with 30 teams. Look at how the pitching has been drained. Basketball brings them right in at the age of 19 with no major minor league system and instead of improving their skills in gametime situations, they sit on the bench. If WWE can't get some good, new homegrown talent, they just might start picking off TNA guys when their contracts expire, a la Monty Brown.

wwe is using old guys. they need to bring the next generation of superstars in. guys that actually have talent. i think that the wwe will try and get guys from tna like aj styles, christopher daniels, lax, young guys. most of the older guys in tna were in the wwe and hate it. but it seems that tna will be getting some wwe wrestlers who no longer want to deal with vinces' [censored].
