Hi! I'm new to the boards so please forgive mistakes. I've been reading some of the posts, it's really nice to find Nashville Star friends.

Just wanted to comment on Kacey Musgraves since I've had the opportunity to hear and know her. She is an extremely talented singer, songwriter and musician that has been devoted to her music since a very young child. She has such a intense feel for her music!! Her performances for many national events and opening for or performing with many great artists has given her a tremendous amount of experience in furthering her talent and art. She's a very modivated, hard working, young talent and is really nice, kind and friendly. I'm sure she will go far with her music!

Sorry for spouting off so much, I'm just very impressed with Kacey!! Very happy to join the board!

She went to school in Mineola and lives in Golden which is only a few miles from Mineola. From all the posts I have read about Pops, he must have been a really special guy and I'm sure he would have been proud to have someone from Mineola make it to regionals. I'm still listening to other contestants and trying to pick my top 10 but I know Kacey will be one of them.

I got a little choked up when she mentioned Mineola, TX in her home video piece, Pop must be so pleased to have a home town gal on the show this year.

I met Kacey Sunday nite while enjoying a concert at Billy Bob's here in Fort Worth. I had been hearing wonderful things about her from my voice coach, who happens to have worked with Kacey before, and was pleased to finally get to meet her. She seems like a really sweet person, and I wish her all the luck in the world.

Hey everyone. I've been watching Nashville Star since day one. And every year I have guessed who the winner was and 4/4 times I was right! This being said it is going to come down to Kacey and Zac. I'd bet my life. The others are really good, but these two are great. I love music, and most of all country music. IF I was a betting girl, I would choose these two in the final 2.

That would be alright by me, these are two of my favorites based on what we have heard so far.

Kacey, you have a fantastic voice and are by far my favorite NS5 contestant!!! How did you get so talented at your young age?? Actually, it really doesn't matter what the age is, you either have the talent or you don't.......and you definately have it!! I compliment you on your video, it was very creative and entertaining. You really do remind me of a brunette Miranda Lambert and so far by your song "Halfway To Memphis" you are as talented as her as too, even more so since you can play the mandolin and harmonica too. I am about to turn 18 in two months and I play the piano and the guitar as well, unfortunately I wasn't able to audition for Nashville Star due to the age requirements, oh well maybe next year. People tell me that I look like Carrie Underwood, but I don't think anybody is as pretty as her, her only flaw is that she isn't from Texas. Anyways, I wish you the best and I will be voting for you as much as I can because so far I think you are the best and you are a Texas girl. Rock On! I can't wait to see you play the mandolin and the harmonica! Best of luck to you.

I'm From a small East Texas town of Gilmer which is the TRUE home of the East Texas sweet potato. It's called the East Texas Yamboree. Sorry Kacey but Gilmer ruled that title long before Golden.

But to get back on track I've watched Kacey over the years preform and she by far in the best on Nashville Star and as much as I love Randy Owens. He's DOESN'T have a club what a GREAT singer Kacey is. She's THE NEWST Nashville Star!!
