In "Mr. Monk Goes Home Again"...
Ambrose, Monk, Natalie and Julie all left for the hospital, when they thought Ambrose was dying.
Right after they left, a man comes up to the door, rings the doorbell (or knocks) and when there is no answer, leaves a note on the door. Only the side of his face is shown, so we don't really know what he looks like.
Now tell me... is that what happened in the episode, or am I remembering something that is completely false? I was asking my husband why they wouldn't use the dad from this episode of Monk for the one that slated to air in November. My husband is positive that they've never shown his dad.
So am I hallucinating?

randys1girl they don't show this situation, you have to remember something else, different situation from different movie...but they could show something like that...

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I'm still confused here. Am I remembering a different episode? I am dying to see the Halloween one... does anyone know if it's scheduled to air anytime soon?

Oh! Thank you so much! Well, I guess I just have to wait a while to see if I'm or not!

I'm not sure what you're thinking of, probably confusing the outcome (finding the note) with another TV show where you actually saw the note being placed, but in the episode Ambrose, Adrian, & Natalie are in the ambulance rushing to the hospital. They realize that Ambrose is OK, then in the next scene they are getting out of a taxi back at the house where they find the note on the door indicating that father was there but didn't stay. They all go back into the house. We never see who left the note. That's a fairly common shot though - to see a man in profile leaving a note on a door in a TV Show or movie, so you've probably seen it 100 times and knowing that in the Monk episode they FIND a note on the door you've mentally placed a scene in the episode that isn't there.

Thanks for the replies!
You guys are right; I'm probably thinking of something else. Wow, I sure wish I had that Season 4 DVD set so I could watch that episode! Oh the agony of having to wait till next month!
What I don't get is... first of all... if it's a Halloween epsiode (and it seems it was intentionally done that way), why didn't they air it around Halloween? I'm thinking probably because the season finished by then, but they could have done a special airing, like they do at Christmas.
Just seems weird.

I think we said it before here, it was weird to watch a Halloween episode no where near Halloween. A special would have made it more fun to watch.

I awoke this morning, yes, it was early for me, ...and I had a thought about the upcoming episode of Adrian meeting his father.
Do you suppose this will be a case Adrian is working on and runs into his truck driving dad, unexpectedly, as the man who witnessed or may be suspected of: MURDER!
It could explain the absence of Ambrose in this episode.

Alex, I did not read the synopsis, sorry. What you wrote sounds like a wonderful episode full of surprises...and I will be taping that episode to watch later that same night.
