What happens at the end of Doubt? The show ended as the jury was reading its verdict. It's the one where the grad student sleeps with her prof & cries rape, he says it's consensual.....

This issue comes up every time this episode is aired. They do not announce a verdict. It was done on purpose to drive the viewers crazy!! LOL

I know, 'tis a major, MAJOR cliffhanger, (ugh!) It was so funny though, last night was actually the first time I've watched it (no, wait or was it the second??? oh well), but before that I went on this forum and saw the topic 'season 6 Doubt' so I got a clue ...hehe but at the end when the juror said "we find the defendant....." I was kinda like thinking 'ha! I knew it' but I was like 'awww....man shuck!!'. It was pretty funny (for me any ways)

I really don't know if I think he's guilty or not. Part of me does think he's guilty but the other part doesn't. She seemed like such a liar, like when she accused Elliot of sexual harrasment and what the guy's lawyer said about her lying about her grandmother dying. So idk, but I kinda think he wasn't guilty

to tell the truth im amazed that the jury could actually decide... idk what i think.... i think that i might be leaning towards not guilty.... but on the other hand, casey made a really good point.. why would she put herself thru it all again if it wasnt true?? so ya, idk... lol

It wasn't a cliffhanger. The writers deliberately left the verdict up to each viewer. The online poll was just a fun way to see how the audience felt about the episode, but even it wasn't an answer to the question about who was the most believable of the two people.
The whole point of the episode is that in most cases, there isn't a cut and dried "he's guilty" or "she's innocent." It's all about degress of guilt or innocence and how a jury has to figure out what parts to believe and what parts to ignore and then to make a decision about someone's fate based upon it all.

Dang, I don't like that! I'm one of those people who like things all finished up, nice & tidy. I gotta KNOW stuff, just not wonder about it. Sheesh. I'm disappointed!

I know, I really wanted to know whether or not the jury thot he was guilty. If I was on that jury I don't know what I would have thought.

i agreed with benson through out the show and wasn't on el's side exscept for when she accused stabler or harrasing her but her body could of though of it was a another attack on her but that got me so mad when she did that. and wehn she knew ben and nov were coming and she tried to kill herself i loved what liv said to "what if i got stuck on the washington brige?" and in a way i think he's guily and in a way i don't my guts saying guilty so i'll go with guilty. but me and bens agreed with stab about one thing thank god we are not on the jury. and i felt so bad for el cause kathy left him i called her a few choise words not worht preating. i lost my respect for kathy.

Exactly, Ashes. That's what growing up is all about: not being spoon-fed information and allowing yourself to make choices and decisions for yourself.

I'd say he's guilty. No sane girl would as to be strangled. seriously! And the fact that he came down that night and said "She's ganna say I raped her" he trying to sound innocent and concent to all the stuff so it seems like he didnt do it. I say he's guilty. They couldn't had a hung jury at the end instead of being like "we find the defendat..." Produced by Dick Wolf. oh! ok the defendant was produced by Dick Wolf. Theres ur answer. lol.
