Each envelope had to be addressed to the actor/actress it is being sent to, so it would need to be two different envelopes.

I had wondered some time ago when Universal had that big fire why I had been thinking this show was filmed at Paramount. I just made the connection--it was because you have to write to Paramount for autographs. Why do autograph requests go to Paramount if the show is filmed at Universal? Anyone?

The solution is easy: Tell a relative or a close friend that you will reimburse him/her if they buy the envelopes and postage, send them off to be autographed and make sure the return enevelopes are addressed to you in Germany. Would you be surprised if you were told not to worry about reimbursement; consider it a birthday present? You could pretend to be surprised! Many happy returns!

I would love autographs from the cast, but i'm in Ireland, and theres not too many US stamps floating about!! Im so sorry for asking this question again, but is this right??
Ive been looking through the thread and have seen some people offer to be a stand in person, but with all due respect, i'd rather not put anyone to the bother of this.
My second query is how to go about getting an autograph of Bitty Schram, i assume she is not reachable at the US network address recommended for all the other actors.

To everyone else... If you need US Postage stamps, the fastest way to get them is to go to a stamp collecting store in your town. Tell the dealer you want to use them for postage, you are not a collector. He might have some which are not perfect mint -- they might have creases or are dirty from handling -- which he might sell to you cheaper than the normal price.

I must apologise for not replying to this thread before, needed to check out my info...firstly Kenny you are a star your generosity and spirit deserve congratulations...nice to see a fellow human act with kindness...

If you live outside of the USA you will need to visit your local Post Office and purchase some International Reply Coupons..in the UK they cost 96p ..they should be available in all countries...some might need to be purchased online..as in Germany...but in the UK you just purchase them over the counter...send two or three with your letter...this should be sufficient...I think a envelope weighing less than four pounds is less than a dollar in postage from the USA to UK. The administration staff and USA Network will exchange the coupons for postage...

My baby boy made a little Monk story for him. he's 5 years old, and drawn three figures running, one car and some other urrecognizable things [you should have already seen a 5 years old drawing; they draw with the whole herat, that's what counts!!!] and told me the story. He then asked me to put that inside the envelope, and give it to Monk. Well, the silly mom here did it,
but did not explain the story to Tony, just ask him to use his imagination to decipher the drawing.
I am so glad he mentioned my baby's piece of art!!!!!

I would also like to try asking autograph from Tony. I just have the same problem, than all others outside from US. I can´t get US stamps from Finland. In post they just adviced me to buy these International Answer Coupons, but Raven said, that they are useless. I don´t know, what to do. From Embassy? Any advices? I could buy them from someone, but it is very costly to send little sums through WU. It costs 15-17 $.

Yes, it is free. Just send the self addressed stamped envelope to the address listed in the instructions. I followed the instructions and received my picture with no problem. Good Luck!

The address on the first page of this thread is the current address for asking for an autograph for Tony or any of the other cast.

Yes, put the self-addressed stamped envelope inside the envelope that you send to them. If you have a picture you want autographed you can send it or they will send you one back.

Well considering the fact that I had return address on the initial mailing, I've not gotten anything back because of delivery problems.
On the other hand, it's now over 8 months and I've not received anything back from the Monk cast.

I sent my request in March and also haven't gotten any answer.
It would be a great pity if my envelope was lost since I inserted a very personal artistic work, created only for Tony. :-(

My problem could have been that I didn't wait for the right time. Perhaps they were not there when it arrived... Or, the poem for him was kind of too personal so that they sorted it out (what wouldn't be very kind)?
I don't know. But I can say that I am a bit frustrated now. It was a real mess to get those stamps... to create the work... to write in English...

But well... you never now. Perhaps there is still a reply to come.

Well, it's a somehow delicate subject... On the one hand I can perfectly well understand that Tony is overwhelmed with work and does not have - well or rather does not take - enough time for his (complete) fan mail. But on the other hand - out of the perspective of his adorers who will probably never see more of him than his signature - it is very HARD that there is not even enough time to draw a signature onto a card and pull it into a prepared (!) envelope. This cannot be too much effort, can it? Effectively, actors are there to act for their audience. If there would be no audience, they would be unemployed. - So, the audience should at least be 'fed' with an autograph, please.
