Yes, and it was funny when he said in the Bravo interview that Americans do not realize how often people with non-American accents are exposed to American and thus how easy it is to imitate us. However he still does have an accent. I lived the majority of my life in S. CA. Now I live in S. Dakota and people remember me as the lady with the accent! So he has a specific American accent. Where do you think he spent most of his life? (House, not the "real guy") - has he said so in the series? melissa

Melissa, have you noticed how many regional dialects of American language you can find on a cross country trip?

Kees_Woman,
I just wrote a reply but I wasn't logged in. So you prob. didn't get it. I agree, I can think of a zillion. People here think I am the one with the accent. It's the way those in "Hollywood" speak that comes out the most in American TV with "New York" a close second. Hugh was referring to the stereotype, the one people outside of America see the most, particularly in sit-coms or probably soap operas.
So, anyone on TV who speaks different than Southern CA (excluding Spanglish and Ebonics and whatever!), stands out more. Doncha think? melissa
