I was under the impression that responses are generally received between 2 and 4 weeks, but I sent a letter out late August and haven't heard back either.

Sidenote: I got an envelope in the mail today, and couldn't for the life of me figure out who it was from, and I opened it, and it was the request that I sent to Zac Efron. I sent that out in June. Hopefully it won't take that long to get a response back from James Roday.

Thanks, I appreciate it! At least it would give me an idea as to whether, I dunno, maybe the postage wasn't right or something (although I doubt that because I had the post office do it for me so it should have been right). I'm curious to see if you get a response before myself and Shmooel_Cohen...

hmmm...sent one out early october or so it probally depends on how far away you live as well...note that i haven't recieved mine however i still think it is kind of them to send autographs

Thanks! I do live on the east coast so that might be a contributing factor, but I know that it doesn't take MONTHS to send something from one side of the country to the other. There are so many reasons why I haven't gotten a response but really it's fine if I don't receive one... it would be nice, though

I live on the East Coast as well. In PA. I don't think that should be a factor.

Isupose if he is nice enough to send them we must simply be patient and if they are filming alot of times shows work from erly in the morning to late at night.

Ok So I got my autograph back last year I just never put it up!So here is proof you get an autograph,It usally takes to months to get it back atleast that's how long it was for me!

Just tell him what about the show you liked and such, and if you saw any other films he has done. You can basically write or ask anything you want really.
JamesRodayluvr64, do you mean it took two months to hear back? You wrote "to months", so I'm just wondering. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to hear back or not, so I'm just trying to gauge the max time it's taken for people to hear back. But I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's perfectly fine if I don't hear back, I understand completely.

Not trying to sound pessimistic but I sent a letter last year on July 7, and I never got it back haha. I'm not losing hope though. Maybe in about 5 years.

Yes, you need a big envelope then one that will fit inside the big envelope so they have something to return your picture in.
I can understand why the stars might be reluctant to provide free autographed pictures when people turn around and try to sell them on E-Bay.

Why would someone do that? That is just taking advantage of the stars who are nice enough to give free autographed pictures.

Well I wrote to him and honestly I don't really know what to tell you. Just don't sound crazy and obsessive, be honest and tell him anything you want I guess.

I would just be honest with him. Don't just gush the entire letter about how you think he's dreamy or something of the sort, although I don't expect anyone on this board to do something like that. Just let him know how much you enjoy his work and appreciate it. It means a lot for individuals in the business to know that people are laughing, enjoying, respecting, and responding to their work. They appreciate the support but just be respectful.
