Good Vs. Evil, Ryland, the Govt. and Isabelle Vs. Jordan, and the 4400 witn Ntac in the middle. Yahoo!!! The season ender should set the stage. Now if we didn't have to wait a YEAR for the next group of shows.

For me, the writing on the “War” topic has been very weak. There is basically nothing going on to start any thing that might be labeled a ‘war” over.

There are clearly conflicts between Jordan, Ryland, NTAC, and a few dozen folks, but that’s about where it stops today. Jordan has a dozen or so NOVA folks who have a bad history. Ryland has a few dozen super soldiers, and NTAC some agents. However the vast majority of the 4400 are just living normal lives and doing mostly nothing.

Practically speaking, it’s more along the lines of a very localized police action. They need some better ideas here or some more detail to make this part even remotely realistic.

your wrong it's not Jordon & the 4400, he may be lucky enough to have actually 20 to 30 of the 4400's, & then the Nova team will help him he hopes, some may want to join Ryland & Isabelle. as for Ntac, well we know some hate the 4400's & some don't.

We can think of it this way: there was supposed to be a major, epic war in the future. Maybe it wouldn't be the catastrophe, but it would either be part of it or an effect. So: according to Jordan's notebook, "The war for the future will be fought in the past." Maybe it does come down to 4400s vs Humans. Maybe that will determine the elite. Maybe whoever was on the losing faction in the future wanted to have it in the past so that the outcome would be different.

Or maybe days of pondering has finally gotten to me!

Haha! I was gonna say that, but then I thought of all the others who haven't left this board in a day, and I didn't feel honored enough.

I suppose the vagueness about the war is intentional. Since the writers were motivated to create the show by what happened on 9/11, they may be drawing on the real-world confusion over how to define when a war against terrorism begins. As we know from the Supreme Court's Hamdan decision issued this year, there is significant disagreement about when the war(s) we are currently fighting began.

I think it would be great to have a better understanding of tpftf. It would kinda clear some stuff up.
