hey someone suggested Monk and Columbo, just for fun lets throw in Matlock before he dies

I rather like the idea of Andy Griffith (Matlock), Dr. Mark Sloan (Dick Van Dyke) and Monk since Lee Goldberg wrote the Diagonis Murder and Monk books, and I believe Andy Breckman wrote for both of the last two.

No. You're thinking of that little known Jamaican TV special: "Dreadlocked: The Great Icon", aka "The Bob Marley Story". I remember watching the latter episodes, especially "Buffalo Wings Soldier"; he had really let himself go by then.
